ok i posted about this before but got embarrassed by the possibility of being Loudly Wrong, but fuck it! after ep 14 i feel emboldened to make this argument again! what if adam has two rings!

for a second i overthought the show art like “well if that’s adam’s hand, it clearly only has a ring on the pointer finger” but we just learned that it only REPRESENTS adam and amy, it’s actually a harbinger carving. so! why on globs green earth would adam be called “the most powerful man in the world” if there is no inherent order to the power of the rings? the 7 motif matters so much—the billionaires, the devils, the amount of people with rings— it means “power” in some capacity. but there are 8 rings, we are definitely supposed to count! unless one of them is undiscovered/lost/destroyed, and 7 people have rings, that means someone has 2, right?

idk if the “gravity manipulation” thing has to do with boston, idk if teleportation alone can put boston on the moon. i’m just saying my hackles are raised and this is prestige media

you are so kind!! it is such an insane joy to play fiona, there’s no not-corny way to express how exciting it is to see people love her. it’s genuinely an honor.

in my head i’m kinda still fan first, fiona second— i started reading the scripts as “sides” (only the pages i’m on & absolutely-necessary context) so i get to be surprised along with everyone else when the episodes come out. i think i know like 5% more than y’all do about what’s going to happen. that said… >:)

Currently thinking about Ava looking at Caspar (when he’s not looking at her) SO OFTEN that she knew exactly where the “birthmark-like” monitor Kazi put on him was immediately. On the back of his neck.

Like. It is truly the Orpheus and Eurydice of it all, just like Caspar said. Where he can’t look back at Ava, but she is focused so intently on him. Cataloguing him. The guy that came back to her after fearing he killed her, who can’t look back until they’re both out of the underworld.

And then shortly after Ava calls out exactly where that birthmarkmonitor is, she puts on a southern belle accent while being accosted by the baddies, like she’s adopted her own Julius Bohanan alter ego because Caspar is just that far burrowed into her brain. And you knooooooow that shit must drive her crazy because that brain space is for MATH! And there’s a fucking MAN in there.

harbingers ep 11 relisten! losing my mind at what the right wing culty guy says in his tucker carlson voice: “Some people think she’s harmless … They say she can read minds. They say she can control people. That’s today— how do we know she’s not getting stronger? More powerful? How do we know where she’s going to stop?” and then the episode is about amy getting stronger (not needing to incant out loud) and more powerful (picking a handful out of her largest crowd) and us not knowing where she’s going to stop (still unclear what exactly her involvement was with boston). ugh it’s just such brilliant writing when the Obviously Antagonistic Force is actually reiterating the same points made by the plot as a whole. he’s not purely crazy/evil in a totally chaotic way, so we’re FORCED to understand why people are like “hey maybe this guy is making some real points” because that’s how RADICALIZATION WORKS and ugh this show just has such incisive and clear-headed political commentary

IT'S HERE!! In august a few friends of mine and I animated a small red valley trailer! Alan and the redval team were kind enough to send the new redval trailer to us in advance, so that we'd be able to work on it before it aired!
