Trying to give myself some more challenging animations to tackle SO a continuous walk cycle with some character acting. The music is there mainly to have something to time the pace of the walk and the acting to (and I think it just makes it feel more engaging than silence).

Iron Lung English for Dummies: 2300 AD

The two main ideas I had for the languages of each society went something like this:

The COI would have had the closest thing to modern English. I have decided that this is a very efficient verbal shorthand. Communication happens extremely quickly between people. It takes minimal effort to get a point across.

Eden is archaic. Their language evolved that same shorthand, but it quickly grew around scripture and poetic phrasing rather than efficiency. They are the opposite of "literal" and never say what they truly mean, which has caused the COI to very rapidly decide that they are untrustworthy and difficult to understand.

Meanwhile Eden folk think the COI dialect was made for jarheads. It's extremely obvious if you're from the COI to a native Edenite.

Literally none of this is supposed to make sense linguistically because I know fuck all about that. I just like the concept of putting language barriers on everyone LOL
