My Headcanons for Crimson

His father was the one of founded the Mafia, Crimson just inherited it.

Crimson grew up without a mother, she died during childbirth. One of the first things Crimson remembers his father saying to him was "She died squezing you out, hope you are worth it"

Once, after Crimson disobeyed his father, he punished him by ordering the whole houshold to ignore him until he said they could interact with him again. Only when Crimson finally lashed out against his father, screaming "Stopp ignoring me" (after crying for two weeks and pleeding) he started to react again. His reaction: Beat Crimson in the face, then smile "Finally learned to stopp being a pussy"

His only friend growing up was Alessio and he was almost like a big brother to him, since he is a few years older than him.

Crimson likes to play Cello and ist quite artistic, he was just forced "to grow out of it" when he got older

He is always very tense and a very light sleeper

When he laughs, it's usually fake

He is alcoholic, but doesn't admit it and claims he "Just likes the taste"

The first and only person who was able to get behind his facade is his wife (who I usually call Sonja)

They met when he was 17 and he first was completely irritated by how she just treated him like a normal person and not "the son of the Don"

Only with her he was able to genuinly smile and have good, relaxing sleep

They had a happy and relativly healthy marriage but when Sonja got pregnant with Moxxie he became anxious "What if I end up like my father?"

When Sonja was pregnant, Crimson started to write a lullaby for Moxxie, but he never played it for him

After Moxxie is born, he really tries to be a good father

He also started to resent Moxxie for having what he never got, a loving mother, though he'd never admit it

Because of that he cant stand being around Moxxie

Over time he raises him more and more like he himself was raised

This drove Sonja and him apart and made Sonja choose Moxxie over Crimson more and more.

They started to fight fairly often

Her death was actually an accident, though he claims it was on purpose to maintain control

After her death, he never spoke about her again

For some reason I always had the headcanon that in this scene... it's HER slapping Crimson and not the other way around. She always seemed like she would stand her ground around him. I don't know how likely this is, but everything we see her doing in this flashback is defying Crimson afterall, so it wouldn't even feel out of place for her to slap him and then leaving him behind would be such a final defiance.

Aaravos is now officially a dilf

Counter question to the theory of Aaravos wanting Viren to kill Sparklepuff being a tested: What exactly did Aaravos mean with 'When the sun will rise you will not'. And couldn't Aaravos view Viren telling him 'I want nothing to die with you' as a form of betrayal? Although it is not much of a betrayal since he does not even do anything harmful to Aaravos plan to get out like going to Terry and with his last breaths tell him not to trust Aaravos. It was more like an open 'We are through' and 'Goodbye'.

Yeah I was thinking about that too. So maybe Aaravos was about to save Viren's life but now won't because Viren basically broke up with him. Who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm just going through every possibility for Viren to stay alive, because I just can't imagine him actually dying

I am kind of wondering if that whole thing about sacrificing Sir Sparklepuff for Viren to stay alive was some kind of test.

Viren has been very adamant about doing anything for his family, the show writers stated multiple times that Viren's core theme is sacrifice as in he would sacrifice anything FOR his family (like potentially killing someone for the dark magic he had to perfom to save Soren's life as well as disfiguring himself with said spell)

And I am pretty sure that Aaravos is aware of that.

So him referring to Sir Sparklepuff as Viren's child and telling him at the same time he has to sacrifice him for his own sake... it's just not something Viren would do. It pretty much goes against his core principles.

And for Aaravos, I feel like, it is similar in some way. So far we can only piece together his past via very small snippets and tidbits we learned through short storys as well as side materials such as the texts in the books etc, but we do know that Aaravos was banished from heaven (or where ever star touch elves live) and it seemed to have happened when he was young, we also know that later he was imprisoned for his crimes and that they were revealed by the orphan queen, a human. So first he was betrayed by his own kin and later he was betrayed by the humans who he apperantly helped by gifting them dark magic etc. He also has that whole speech to Viren about loyalty and friendship and love after the summit of the pentarchy.

To me it feels like that the one thing Aaravos just can't stand is betrayel and sacrificing your own family for personal gain is betrayel.

So I am wondering if the thing with Sir Sparklepuff was a test, to see if Viren would be capable of such betrayel.

Also because I can't imagine Viren actually dying and if this was indeed a test and Viren passed it know it would explain him surviving. As in "You actually killed our child to survive? I won't make your resurrection permanent" but he didn't so now he will or whatever

okay but why does no one talk about how there was actually no need to free Aaravos to make Viren's resurrection permanent? Aaravos was ready to perform the spell as soon as they reached the Sea of the Castout, he was about to explain to him what Viren actually had to to for the spell and he probably could've done that the whole time.

So why then did he tell Claudia that they had to free him within the next 30 days to make Viren's resurrection permanent?

Honestly, I can’t really imagine Viren actually dying in season 5. If only because it would be a really weird writing choice to kill him, bring him back for one season, than let him be unconcious for like half a season and then kill him again.

I feel like we all pretty much agreed that Viren is having the dark magic fever dream because he used dark magic the first time after comming back from the dead, just as Callum had when he first used dark magic.

But you know what happened to Callum afterwards? He was able to connect to an arcanum.

So my theory still is that Viren will be able to do the same, he makes a connection to a primal source and I would bet it’s the star arcanum

What we know about Lissa so far

So, I was curious what other people think of Lissa, what she was actually like and for that I wanted to write down all the thinks we learned about her so far (please feel free to add stuff in case I forgot something)

- Viren’s ex-wife - mother of Claudia and Soren - originally from Del Bar - fought alot with Viren after the incedent with Soren - decided to break up with him because of that - went back to Del Bar to her family, leaving Soren and Claudia behind (after Soren said he wanted to stay with his father) - has her hair in a bun - wears glasses - uses violet perfume - plays the piano (and some less object things about her, since they are from Viren’s perspective)

- Viren still seems to miss her - When Lissa became afraid of Viren due to is disfigurement from dark magic he searched for a way to retrieve his appearance. He managed to do so, but it didn’t change Lissas opinion - When he is yelled at by Opeli he first thought it was Lissa (???? I know I mentioned this multiple times already but it’s still so weird to me????) - Both Viren and Lissa showed Claudia the grotto with the wisps (Claudia used for the traction spell to find Callum and Ezran) -> personal HC about this: the grotto used to be a place where Viren and Lissa hanged out when they were still just dating

So, I was thinking about that one part in the new short story “Ripples”

The sky opened its maw and spat from its black jaws a tiny star. Small as it was, it gleamed with all the searing brilliance of a diamond—brighter and more beautiful than anything the humans had ever beheld.

Does this mean Aaravos was still a child when he came to earth?

And then I remembered a thought I had when I first saw the new opening of S4

He has the same marks on the face as Aaravos. So, is this maybe Aaravos as a child?
