When the zombie apocalypse hit, Dalton Academy students took quick action. Not many were lost, all thanks to the one brilliant, hidden location that they had commandeered as their own: the downtown storage facility. Each storage cubical has been given a purpose, whether that be medical supplies, food storage, or even as a bedroom space for one of the students. Everyone is seemingly safe, kept tucked away behind the video monitored, heavy, metal gates at the front of the facility. The walkers cannot get through, but that doesn't mean that everyone is safe. || Satoru Kogo | Brains | 17 | Yuya Tegoshi | Open ||  Satoru always knew Drew was right. He knew it right from day one, when he was curled up on the couch, watching a news report, and Drew pointed at the screen and said that one word that sent shivers up his spine: Zombies. He never wanted to believe it, but Satoru took caution.  His years of comic book, video game, sci-fy and science training did him well. Within two days of joining the rest of the Dalton boys behind the Gates, Satoru had been deemed one of the three 'brains'. Alongside Drew and Lucy, it is his job to try and find patterns, possible solutions, and to collect any information that will keep them one step ahead of the zombies at all times.  Satoru doesn't sleep. His mind never stops working, and even when he's not thinking about formulas or that one episode of he Walking Dead  he's worrying about Drew. Logan has had to learn how to naturally control his anger since ‘Virus X’ broke out. The group has collected all the medicine they could find to help keep him sedated, but it only lasts for a limited time. Instead of medication, Logan has taken to hunting to vent his anger. While Derek is good for a quick kill, Logan has learned how to stalk prey and how to take it down in absolute silence. Instead of causing a distraction, Logan leads the zombies away by gutting out the heart, brain, and intestines of prey, throwing it off for the zombies to fight over . Logan, no matter what he says out loud, truly misses his family. The lack of craziness, arguments, and awkward family dinners he hasn’t been a part of for almost six months has taken its tole on him. Casey’s boredom is what sparked the first game of soccer within the storage complex. She had found a ball locked away in one of the far back compartments, and without asking, divided everyone into two separate teams. The game was only supposed to go until one team scored five points, but the rest of the day was spent playing soccer, then football, then vollyball. Unfortunately, it was Derek’s hard spike that sent the ball flying right over the gate.  Since then, there has been an entire compartment specifically designated to sporting equipment, board games, batteries, gaming systems, and anything else they could find that would be considered some kind of entertainment. Casey, needing some kind of distraction, runs the room alongside Mika. David’s job is very, very tedious. Twice weekly, David goes through every single storage compartment on the facility, and makes lists of everything they have, and everything they need. From batteries to ibuprofen to ‘female necessities’, David looks for it all. Once his lists are completed, he leaves them attached the the storage unit closest to the gates for the gatherers to collect. The one part of his job that he utterly detests is seeing all the walkers crowded at the gates the moment he walks towards them. It’s a heart stopping sight. He knows they can’t break through, at least not yet, but the sight is grotesque.  It was his urge to have Katherine included in their group that allowed the Dobry girls to join forces and live within the storage facility as well. It made things twice as tight and twice as scarce, but he’d never be one to complain. Within her first day of joining the Dalton boys, Katherine took charge of the storage facilities medical department. All that they had to start with was a simple first aid kit, so Katherine created a vast list of antibiotics, ointments, needles, gauzes, masks, birth control pills, nausea medicine - anything you could possibly think of. She did this mostly for her own good, but also for the good of the group. Within the short time she has spent in the group, Katherine has become the mother hen.  More than anything, Katherine is grateful to have David at her side. He keeps her constantly protected, and always seems to be right there when she needs him. Nothing gets in the way of Merril’s responsibilities. Since the day she arrived at the storage facility, Merril has made it her personal mission to clean up and make nice of what the gated confines have to offer. Without being asked, Merril found herself a set of tools and a few rags, and began scrubbing clean every surface she could find. Though she wasn’t very good at the mechanical part of labor, Spencer taught her, and Merril learned.  Every day, Merril makes her rounds around the facility, cleaning up messes and spills and blood stains on the asphalt. Others offer to help, but Merril claims that this is something she must do on her own - it gives her a distraction, and time to think. Thanks to all her hard work, Merril is always offered two servings at dinner, most of which she politely declines. After the outbreak of ‘Virus X’, Spencer was appointed to a hunting position, but it only took him a couple of hours to realize that he couldn’t do it. The world he once knew had fallen apart - there was enough death around anyway, without Spencer murdering a couple of innocent animals. Which made him feel worse in a way, too - even more useless than before. He couldn’t be those big tough guys supplying everyone. If Spencer hadn’t received a few slaps on the face from Sydney and warm embraces from Merril, he might have just lost his mind. In turn, he was incredibly protective over them both (actually, less so Sydney) and also spent quite a bit of time helping out Justin. In the end, Spencer turned to gathering, and it helped him with his self-esteem. Usually in the same group as his twin sister, they collected everything from medical supplies to baking ingredients to books. One time, Spencer found a whole lot of bags of Cheetos. Since he was a little kid, he and Evan used to play apocalypse related games, ones where one was the zombie and the other was the victim, and they’d chase each other around the house screaming like maniacs. But when the real apocalypse hit, Ethan found something to be terrified of - losing Evan. More than ever, the possibility of losing his twin brother was brought forth. The two spent countless nights curled up and locked away from harm, just convincing each other that no matter what, they’d be alright. Once their nerves had settled, Ethan and Evan put their Nerf gun skills to good use. Using a real gun was unsettling, but their position as guards of the gate gave them everything they needed: protection, a sense of use, and each other. During this apocalypse, Blaine has had two major worries: Kurt and Shane. No matter who he’s with, Blaine’s mind is always on the care and safety of his boyfriend and younger brother, who he’s deemed the most important people in the universe. A few times, Blaine has put himself in harms way for the sake of protecting the two - once he even came home with a scratch down his back. The worry set in, people instantly assuming that it must have been from a zombie. After the medical team checked for infection, they soon found that the cut was from a barbed wire fence, and not a zombie. Blaine joined the Medical Team three days after the group locked themselves into the storage facility. It is his job to keep inventory of the medical supplies, and to help with things like coughs, flus, fevers, bumps and bruises. || Kurt Hummel | 18 | Cook | Chris Colfer | Open || 

Kurt is a dynamo in the kitchen. Though all he has is canned beans, stale bread and questionable meat, he manages to make something edible, and sometimes even tasty. He works hard, knowing that the people around him deserve something warm and filling after a long day of working in the sun or hunting or gathering. While Blaine one of his top priorities, so is Kurt’s family. His father, Burt, has been living inside the gates of the storage facility, along with Carole and Finn. All three of them must chip in. Burt fixes the cars, Carole works as an overnight medic, and Finn as a hunter alongside Derek. Kurt is just happy to know they’re safe. Upon a group vote, it was decided that Charlie would take over the responsibility of the group leader. Running Windsor was practice enough, and everyone knew that the prefect could take on another few rounds of crazy before he got tired and retired. Charlie takes his duties seriously, doing twice daily counts of everyone in the group. Though he has been deemed the leader, Charlie tries to keep everything in the group based on a democratic system. He has the power of veto, but every last decision is put through a vote. All problems, injuries, fights, and exploration ideas go through him before anything can get out of hand. Justin is his right hand man, and plays the part of both the angel on his shoulder and the devil’s advocate.   || Justin Bancroft | 18 | Information | Andrew Garfield | Open || As Charlie’s right hand man, Justin has gained a lot of his own responsibilities. Though he still goes out on explorations with any group who needs him, Justin’s mainly stays within the gates, working as the eyes and ears of the facility. Justin knows everyone’s business - from who has been sick to who checked out the game of monopoly kept in the activity locker. He is Switzerland, and keeper of peace. When Charlie gets stressed, it is him who flies in to save the day. Justin works as the group therapist, working through any problem or worry that gets brought up in conversation. Derek’s brute strength and utter determination made him perfect candidate to learn how to hunt. He wasn’t very good at wielding a knife, bow and arrow, or gun at first, but after a few day’s practice, he got the hang of it. By day five, Derek had brought back his first deer. Without thinking, Derek brought the dead carcass directly to the gates, and got attacked by a vicious group of zombies. Since then, all hunting trips are accompanied by enough people to distract the zombies as the food is snuck back through the gates. Inside his compartment, Derek has a rich collection of books. No one would expect it, but Derek finds that reading his novels is the one thing that keeps him from going insane in this infected world.
