Contemplating on how I got myself here.

You can never make someone say the exact things that you want to hear,

Need to hear.

You can never make someone fall in love with you,

Love you exactly the way you want them to,

Love you exactly how you need to be loved.

One can only stay hopeful and suffice with anything that gets close to that,

Is that what finding a soulmate mean then?

To suffice ?

Currently in life- the best thing money has gotten me might not be happiness, it's safety.

I see you in my dreams

Every once in a while

It feels like you're always

Somewhere in the back of my mind.

I don't know what it means,

Maybe I have you

And I'm happier for the other me.

The faces on the screen

With another girl

Another city

Still loving a version of me

And their manners and voices

Surrounded by books

And sipping my warm hazelnut coffee

I feel at peace
