i want to turn on the tv turn on a random movie and it’s directed by a woman, it’s written by a woman, the lighting was done by a woman, the cinematographer was female, the score was written by a woman, the foley artists were women… i want to go see the orchestra and the conductor is female, the trombone section is all women, the cellists are women, the programme is music by women, the artistic director is a woman, the orchestra manager is a woman, the person who booked the venue is female, the double basses are women…
I think there’s something particularly sinister about Bear never showing any genuine concern for Nikki, not when she harms herself not when she defecated herself, he only questions to the extent of “why are you acting like this why are you embarrassing me?” “just be nikki”. He never wanted to be her “boyfriend” he wanted Nikki to be his girlfriend he wanted her to exist as a concept for the other Ians to look at him and think “wow how did he do it?” but having Nikki be so dependent on Bear is seen as embarrassing, childish even. And the last thing Bear wants is to be seen as cringe.
Obsession is a lot of things particularly how men are kept in a prison of men’s making and women will suffer for it
Obsession posting on main but it really is incredible how well the whole thing is set up just in the first few minutes. The first shot is a POV from a woman's perspective as Bear talks at us and tells us his feelings. It cuts occasionally to the girl thinking this is cute but is clearly a little uncomfortable, only to learn that this person is not Nikki, but just some poor waitress who was on her break and who they presumably kinda roped into this. They don't even listen to her thoughts on the matter, start talking exclusively to each other, and then they just thank her and tell her she can go now and her entire break was apparently used up on their confession practice. Just kind of using women for an imagined scenario and not wondering what she might think about it even in the first five minutes. Incredible stuff.

It's very sad seeing cool witch content creators become grifters
Thinking of buying a flip phone, I'm getting tired of feeling always online. Is it too 'not feminist' that I want the full-hot-pink Barbie one? Its so cute, I like that the whole kit is pink, like charger and all. I'm not even very feminine (I'm mostly brutish and gothish?), but the knick knack trinket vibe is getting to meee
