noahbordeaux:
Noah almost glared at the person in disgust; how they prattled on about paying him five bucks for a quick picture of their family; as if he was some freeloader with a camera. Said camera dangled from around his neck, branded with the logo of BITE Inc. on it’s side, a touch that he added for moments like this. Tourists could make him gag. How anybody could dare want to visit a city like this as if it had anything more to offer but congested air and cramped streets. “I’d dream of nothing more than to take a picture of your rotten family,” he mocked out emptily to the woman, “–but I must go.” Tired of the way she droned on, Noah shoved past her, not regarding the strength as she careened into another bystander on the busy NYC sidewalk. At least he hadn’t decided to kill her.
She’d been watching the man for a few moments. Though her eyes landing on his tall frame, what had kept her attention was the tense way he’d been engaged in the conversation. His disdain was written all over his face, as if no one had ever checked his ego.
Some men really were human disasters.
It was only because of this focus when she noticed something fly out of his pocket, and she stepped forward to catch it.
“Excuse me,” Belinda followed him as he darted into the crowd. She tapped his shoulder. “Hey. Sorry, you dropped something,” she said, holding her hand out.
