Anyone who makes Simon violent and/or punch Grace in the face upon seeing him with malicious intent immediately makes me think they have simply not seen Iron Lung and are basing their idea of him of either 1 clip or other mischaracterised fanfiction. That man is not violent he is not dangerous and he does not want to hurt people. That is outwardly shown or stated multiple times in the movie. Even when in fear when he accidentally does hurt someone its bc he hit a camera flashlight he didnt know was radiation. He did not want to or try to hurt someone.
