What if Strangerville is actually Strangetown? And the crater that the secret lab is in, was actually the crater that had the crashed UFO? We see the infected sims that roams the streets of Strangerville, they will sometimes say '' BEAUTYBEAUTYBEAUTYBELLABEATYBEAUTY '' which makes me believe that Bella is the mother plant..? Like some scientits/aliens took her from the crashed UFO and kept her like a prisoner in an old lab and made many diffrent experiments on her body; when she got mutated they decided to remove the crashed UFO and create a new safe lab inside of the crater, to keep the mother plant/Bella away from other sims. After all of this the mother plant got angry of the people of Srangerville and spread her infected flora all over Stangerville.

Or the scientits had already a seed of the mother plant, which they looked after for many years until she grew up and became big and strong. But then they realized that something was missing for the mother plant to be even more stronger, they had to fuse her with a sim and choosed Bella to become one with the alien plant, since she was found in the crashed UFO almost dead.

Another case that I've thought about; was that the UFO had many diffrent plants from other planets and potions and Bella's body was infected by the potions and the plants pores, which mutated her into the gigantic mother plant and the mother plant is asking for help from any brave sim to free her..
