i refuse to belive it’s been two years since wilbur’s ex did that stream. it’s been two years since i had to walk home from my class on a suspiciously sunny february day because the busses were late, when i saw people talking about what she said. theorising who it could be.

two years since i sobbed salty tears into my pillow that burnt my eyes. i was a few days out from a rather serious surgery and had to isolate in my room because my family was sick. i was all alone. it was one of the darkest times of my life.

two years later, i’m in one of the best places ive been since. i love this community to death and you guys saved me <3

i will always resent wilbur’s ex for what she did to him, his reputation, his fandom, and his band.

but there’s something so incredible about the fans that REMAINED. having a community that knows each other, the ability for the band and wilbur himself to know that we adore him for HIM… it’s otherworldly. i genuinely don’t think that without what his ex did, i would’ve been able to meet the band and be who i am unapologetically.

Important information here that I already knew but I want to talk about it somewhere

- THE SECOND. He has another relative named Harvey!!!

- "Gifted at four months old" tells me he's autistic and his parents are keeping it from him, or he's autistic and has crazy parents who think he's gifted. I'm inclined to think it's the former though. I don't even think you can diagnose a four month old with autism, dude. Harvey could easily just be lying about when he was diagnosed here. He might have been 1 or 2 years old. But that was TOO LATE to show signs of giftedness. Or something.

- Separating entomology from biology tells me he's really into bugs in particular. This is supported by the hummingbird hawk moth story in Darth Paper where he was able to identify most of the insects. (If Harvey likes spiders then my life is complete)

- Continuing the last point, he probably got into it through his dad, who is also a biologist.

- Origami not only being on the list, but being the last item, is fascinating. I am forever convinced that Harvey got into origami through Dwight. I think he felt threatened by someone being better than him at something and getting more attention for it, so he practiced as hard as he could to surpass him. In fact, Dwight gives him constructive criticism on his folds in Darth Paper, which tells me it is not something Harvey has been practicing as long as him. But OF COURSE he likes origami. Obviously.

- THIRTY-SEVEN LIKES PEOPLE

- Harvey I think you should follow your dreams and be an entomologist. Because if it were up to me you'd be in computer science. I am Jack's one trick pony.

- This autobiography is really not the best work Harvey could have come up with in seventh grade. You could make a case for Harvey not being "gifted" like he says, but I think the more likely explanation is that he rode the high of being ahead of all his classmates in elementary school and doesn't apply himself after moving into a new academic environment. One moment he's being too ambitious and the next he's like wait why do I have to tryhard? My teachers should know I'm a genius. It speaks for itself.

I love that it ends similar to how it starts, because like ye, the stakes are technically lower in Emperor Pickletein than in Princess Labelmaker. However it feels just as important because we’ve watched these characters grow and now we’re super invested in the events of this field trip, because this is the last we’ll see them and we just want them to be ok.
