Listen. I LOVE fanfic writers. You lift up the community for free and I adore you and the work you put out.

But why is everyone so horny??😭

I LOVE smut don’t get me wrong, kink-tober is a wonderful time.

But why is 9/10 fics smut now?😭

Where’s the slow burn angsty fics? I don’t mind if it has smut in it but why is everything a smut one shot? /srs

Not even the search bar can save me.

This is by no means meant to offend anyone, this is genuine curiosity and slight concern ngl.

I’ve seen people turn down published stories and fics because it didn’t have smut in it. And I can’t lie you guys are missing out.

Preference is preference and I’m not gonna yuck someone’s yum. But I’m so confused when this shift started.
