he knew better, alright, he definitely fucking knew better. this was bellatrix, and bellatrix had never taken even half as much of his shit as other people had - but amycus was in a bad way, and the little voice that reminded him (occasionally) who he shouldn’t lay hands on had been silent just long enough for him to fuck this up royally. so, when bella threw him off, he let it happen keeping his hands visible in front of her for half a moment before they went to his head; rubbing over his face and into his hair, framing his head with his arms like a cage to hold in the anger still threatening to burst out of him at any possible point of exit. his teeth were gritted, and it was so clear how hard he was trying to contain it, contain the outburst before it got even worse, when he dropped his arms and repeated himself. “just tell me what you said, ella. i can’t - civil is - i can’t - i can’t fucking do this today, so just tell me what you said. go on, just do it. say it loud enough to rip me to pieces, that’s what you fuckin wanted, isn’t it? to pile on? make it worse? go ahead. can’t get much lower, can i? just say it.”
。·:✧:· ANGER BUILT UP inside her as she finally threw Amycus off her. As he backed up with his hands up to protect his face. Bellatrix moved toward him, knowing she was significantly smaller than him. But damn, that girl could fight, there was no doubt in her mind. And with that, she pushed him over, climbed over him in a straddle and grabbed his wrists, pinning him down. “YOU HAVE LOST YOUR MIND!” She screamed at him as she looked into his eyes. Bella didn’t know what set him off, but this was a little excessive. As he spoke, she shook her head, and pinned his wrists down onto the ground again. “I’m not going to fight you, Ace. I’m not. And you’re not going to fight me. Look,” she started, sighing. “Usually, I’m all for violence, pranks and all of that, but this... snapping at someone because they mumbled something you don’t like, COME ON, you’re better than that. I know you, and I know what you stand for, and this needs to stop. This is NOT how we win, at all. Stop acting LIKE A CHILD.”
Letting go of his wrists, she sat back on his stomach, knowing she couldn’t actually hurt him like that. Her arms crossed over her chest as she refused to take her eyes off of him. “What the HELL is your problem? Huh? What’s got you all ready to fight everyone?” she asked, leaning forward a little, her hands resting on his chest. “I’m not moving from here until you talk to me. So, what’s got you acting like a child, huh?”
