Her answer hit him harder than he had expected. It honestly never occurred to him that age was a factor now that he knew she was a synthetic. He wasn’t even sure what to think about that. It didn’t necessarily bother him so much as it surprised him. He hadn’t even processed her second revelation. “Fifty-two, huh? You’ve certainly aged well. “ What else was he supposed to say? “Wait. What?” Now the second part dawned on him. “You have a son? How does that work?” His brain was still spinning and he certainly couldn’t access great thinking abilities. “Is it Finn? I thought he was your brother.” He was so confused. Ty couldn’t even really try thinking it all through. All it did was give his head another spin. “You know what. Just blast me out of consciousness and we’ll go through that over some nice food and a soft red.” He definitely preferred just watching her, looking at her - the only thing his eyes managed to focus on.
“I haven’t aged a day, but thank you,” Emeline couldn’t help but chuckle. It must have been hard to process that information given. “That’s just what we tell... what we used to tell people. It was safer that way for both of us, you know?” She hoped that Finn was safe, wherever he was. “Sounds good to me, Ty. Have a good rest, okay?” she said, injecting the pain medication into his IV. She smiled at him as she watched the medical kick in, finally leaving when he was unconscious.
