ϟ - “No, it doesn’t. I’m just goin’ with him to the weddin’ since it’s kinda required for him to go with someone. I can take care of myself, Ben. If he gets to be too much, I’ll just punch him again, simple as that.”
“Mmm... I got it. I was gonna say you didn’t seem like the type to suddenly go on a date with a guy.” Shrugging briefly the brunette eyed her twin, “He was asking me questions about you, I thought it might’ve been a little serious, my bad.”
Shifting he’d glance downwards and towards his feet. His hands would grip on the edge of the bench, clearly tense at the mere thought of anyone speaking poorly about his friend. Especially when he knew her to be one of the strongest in will power and strength for as long as he had known her. “Oh, I promise you that it wont be a meeting.” He’d narrow his gaze once more. “but… fine… I won’t do anything, but that doesn’t mean I will just sit here if someone like them approaches you while i’m here, got it?” Feeling the squeeze against his shoulder he’d calm down quite a bit and drew his gaze to look over his shoulder and towards her. She had been his very best friend from like forever, always there for him, and vice versa, so the kid had a bit of a short fuse when it came to anyone bothering those who were close to him. “You should really take some time away from the guild, i’ve come to realize, that outside of this one, the world is much more accepting.” He’d shrug. “not like im asking you to leave Mermaid Heel or anything, just a small vacation I guess.”
Benkei watched the other as he tensed up beside her, worry shifting over her. It really did get to him didn’t it? Not being able to stand up for her during those times, just having to hear about them now, afterwards. Her grip tightened slightly before loosening and sliding from his shoulder to rest on his back. “Sounds fair enough... I’ve missed my little protector.” The brunette joked lightly with him, as that’s what she had called him after he first stood up for her while they were younger.
Catching his gaze again, the brunette’s smile widened more, glad to see her closest friend relaxing. “Some time away huh? Well, I wouldn’t suppose you know a good place I could go off to, would you?” Her attention was fully on him, shifting a bit to turn to face him further. To be honest.. some time off sounded amazing.
The one thing that Feliks had learned growing up around an all women’s guild was the fact that they were often looked down upon when it came to their abilities and strength, something which ticked him off quite a bit. Pushing that aside a moment he’d let out a heavy breathe. “Yeah… it’s a funny story, the way I ended up there in the first place.” Feli wanted to try and smooth out the moment, but the more she continued on about people being rude and sexist Especially towards Benkei. “People like that still exist?” he’d huff out and shook his head. “Why don’t these idiots see just how strong women actually are, I mean… I’ve met quite a few during my travels, it’s amazing actually, there really shouldn’t be any sort of limit or comparison in all honesty…” He’d pause and narrowed his gaze. “Where are they? I’ll go give them a piece of my mind, then we will see how freakin’ ‘strong’ they actually are!”
Benkei found it incredibly sweet how protective he could be at times. Especially now since it had been awhile since she had last seen him, but he still seemed eager to stand up for her. Really it made her smile, even when having to think over all the idiots she had come by.. No matter how many times she knocked them down or got apologies, it still stung a little, to know no matter what she did she’d be seen as weaker, just because she was a girl. “I’d love to hear about it..” The brunette commented casually, offering an apologetic smile the conversation had taken a turn.
“Yeah they do.. And they are awful.” Sighing she looked down, watching the street for a minute. A small laugh escaped her as he soon declared he’d help her, a fond smile curling her lips as she shook her head. “Those idiots don’t deserve to even get to meet you Feli- they aren’t worth the time.. But it means a lot, thank you.” Her hand came to rest on his shoulder, giving a gentle squeeze before offering him an appreciative smile.
ϟ - “But I didn’t kiss him! He kissed me, and I didn’t reciprocate. I like him, yes, in a friend way.”
“So then this date with him doesn’t mean anything, does it? I don’t have to worry about getting protective over you?”

Yup, train of thought had completely up and vanished as he felt the warmth of the embrace. Even though he had been apart of this guild and grown up around everyone there, it didn’t stop him from being quite shy and un sure when it came to sudden affections, especially when he felt this wave of nerves flash over him. He’d droop his ears back and took in a deep breathe, trying to find his center for the moment. “Yeah? well that’s good that it ain’t that boring.” He’d rub at the back of his neck awkwardly, before she’d finally release him. “It’s an alright guild I guess, I mean it beats not having anyone to talk to, and I got a job….” he’d blink at the thought. “At a cafe…” he’d speak this out softly, coming to remember how that part had come to be. He’d follow her lead, moving to sit himself down next to her. “How about here? has everyone been treating you well?”
The drooping feline ears didn’t go unnoticed by the girl, in fact she had always found them quite adorable when it came to her friend. Relaxing back against the bench she offered a happy smile, glad to know he was doing well and on his feet. “A cafe hm? I’ll have to drop by sometime.” Though his comment about the guild did sadden her a bit... He did always feel left out here, even with her around.
“Mmhm, as always.. Save for the few dense idiots who assume I’m a guy when I take jobs.. Then act disappointed when well, I, show up.” The brunette sighed, slumping slightly at the thought of it. It wasn’t often she broke her perfect ladylike hold, but around her best friend she didn’t mind. “It’s happening more and more these days. You’d think people would’ve learned by now girls can be pretty strong too.”

ϟ - She snickered a bit and walked back to fridge to put away anything she hadn’t eaten, on the way, stopping next to her sister. “The womb counts, so we were technically roomies, at least for nine months. And we share magic too, to a degree,” Kira said, playfully bumping hips with Benkei before finishing her trek to the kitchen. “Yeah, I did, about six months ago. I was hoping to tell you on our next birthday, but apparently now is a good time as ever.”
Benkei offered a small laugh, smiling genuinely at her other half. “I guess you’re right... Technically we shared a ‘room’ for almost a year, how could I forget?” Rolling her eyes briefly, she raised her eyebrows a little bit, “I guess we do, don’t we? Well, at least the black lightning a bit.” Shrugging briefly she smiled at the other as she bumped hips with her, resting back against the counter. “I’m proud of you- though knowing you, Kira, I knew it wouldn’t be too long before you did. You’ve gotten pretty strong.”

ϟ - She swallowed and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand before talking. At least she had some manners. “Ben, come on, me breakin’ into your place is the least of your worries. Besides, we’re twins, we share everything.” Yes, she pulled that reasoning all the time. “Been on a lot of long-term jobs lately, mostly monster stuff. What about you? Been on any interesting jobs lately?”
A lot of people didn’t tend to call the warrior by her nickname, usually it was only her twin and father, not that she minded it. “Except you know, a house, or guild, or really anything.” Chuckling softly her arms came to fold over her chest, leaning back against the counter, giving a soft shrug. “Mainly some monsters, the longest mission i’ve done was half a year.. Have you made s-class yet?” Knowing her green haired sister, she had a few years ago.
