oh boy. first off, fuck jeff davis. a hearty fuck you to him. he did that show dirty and so many of the characters. so, i tend to be selective of what it is i take as canon.
the lydia/parrish storyline? yeah, no flirtationship. that shit was uncomfy.
regarding lydia and peter; after all the trauma she went through at his hands i don't agree with how much the show brushed all that off. this trauma will be talked about, and she is NOT okay with peter hale in any capacity.
i also haven't watched the movie and know enough of it to say that i don't treat that as canon, either.
i am in the process of rewatching. however, i take everything post season 3 with a grain of salt. that being said, lydia is a horror character, teen wolf is not a main world for her anymore. she's past that.

Saskia knew drinking and skating didn't mix but she wanted something to take the edge off, and she wasn't even drunk. It was one beer! And maybe a shot or two, but she wasn't drunk or barely even buzzed. She just wanted to have fun.
After tying her laces, she nudged Lydia's arm. "If I fall on my ass, you're allowed to laugh. Just don't help me up, I'll get back up eventually."
lydia carefully pulled her hair into a ponytail, making sure her hair looked flawless (because while this was a hangout sesh, she also had to look better than everyone else. duh.) she pulled her gloves on, focusing entirely on her own preparations before even thinking about saskia. she was a big girl, anyway. she'd be fine. skate guards off and placed on one of the benches, she finally turned to give saskia a modicum of attention.
"if you fall, there's a nonzero chance that i'll record it," she said with a nod. "you'll be fine, there's a wall and skate trainers on the ice. take baby steps and don't get too confident," she explained before promptly getting up and walking to the rink.
lydia looked at stiles, brows furrowed as he finished explaining his current hair-brained plan. this one was most curious because, for once, she couldn't follow him or his reasoning. or, rather, was playing dumb and refusing. "so... ghosts?" was all that she optioned to reply because, truthfully, she wanted the run down one more time from stiles. maybe just to confirm that she wasn't hearing things with what he was trying to do.
scott knew he couldn't solve every problem, but knowing that didn't stop the pain he felt from being unable to. there was still so much he didn't know about: werewolves, banshees, other more terrifying monsters and supernatural creatures that lurked in the dark, or even worse, right beside them. but no matter how uneasy the unknown left him, it was his duty to lead. to protect.
"okay," he replied gently, his eyes glinting with something soft, encouraging. returning his focus to his textbook, scott let out what very well could be interpreted as dog whining pitifully. "speaking of things i can't do. what's the point of learning all these equations if i'll never use them? when will i ever need to use the quadratic formula in real life?"
lydia looked at him from the corner of her eye, brows furrowing at the way scott was looking at her. she had gotten to know him better as of the past year, especially since getting thrown into shit he had been dealing with headfirst. and the help then was great, the support then was crucial. however, now? this was something that scott couldn't help with. not really. she needed to talk to others but there weren't exactly a ton of options of banshees to call up.
the redhead opened her lips to say something when scott finally spoke again. sounding something akin to a kicked dog. "so, you do in fact need to know equations to get into college," lydia sighed, pointedly placing scott's notebook closer in his line of vision. "and if you want a real world application of the quadratic formula, it's used a lot in economics to maximize profits, optometry.... the act and sat...."
