Throughout my own life, I've become distracted by the hustle and bustle of society and struggling with addiction. Love, and admittedly, the gleaming allure of unconventional ideals, have been some disgustingly beautiful additions to the mentally promiscuous air that I've (regrettably) presented myself with.
I created this account to urge myself closer to recovery and to rekindle my passions for writing and reading (and also photography). What's more, I want to share my thoughts with the world. Whoever my willing audience shall be, I hope to entertain them enough that they will stay.
I was an avid, voracious reader when I was younger and even developed into an amateur poet and writer, but the festering desire to create became a dull glow in my heart. I've realized in the past year or two that I truly want to pursue a creative career, despite my regrets of abandoning my own craft and my apprehensions for the future. So, I aim to redevelop myself, to have an imaginative and eloquent mind.
Generally, I read a lot of manga and fictional (/semi-autobiographical) Post-War Japanese literature, but I want to branch out and read more diverse material. I also enjoy the dystopian genre and find myself drawn to emotionally complex or closed-off characters. On occasion, I read non-fiction (typically historical & self-help books).
Currently, my favorite author is Osamu Dazai, but I may be saying that solely out of familiarity with his works. (Yukio Mishima comes as a close second).
