Amena, a second-year student at PSUMNT trying to get into the highly competitive Perihelion workstudy program: Sooooooo, any chance family of crewmembers get preferential placement? Yeah, the Perihelion's security consultant is my. Uh.
Amena, realising she doesn't want to try to explain Secunit to the Dean of Students: The security consultant is my Third Mom.
peer reviewing ops tags cause they made me laugh loud enough to scare my dog
[ID: Tags that say, "#amena externally: it's not in my student record??? weird. I mean I guess the legal status of mixed families can be complicated so– #amena internally: secunit is going to kill meeeee 💀🙃 oh well fuck it we ball #meanwhile whatever faculty member she's hitting up is like. #I cannot ask this student what 'mixed families' means in this context that would be such a bad look #*tries to subtly pull up the Perihelion's crew manifest* WAIT THE SECUNIT???". End ID]
“it isnt something you have to read critically” well 😭
this technically is true but I think this also perfectly encapsulates why I am inherently distrustful of like. “”cozy”” “turn your brain off” fiction lmfao. like okay WHO gets to turn their brain off and who has to suffer through bigoted caricatures of themselves while everyone else is having cozy silly no brain time 😐
“-no other home.”
OH MY GOSHH i was literally thinking about this poster the other day are you serious,, this is so important i love them dearly
^ the poster for anyone who hasn’t seen it. i’m. i’m normal about it
academic dishonesty is not something you can spin as moral lol i do not want to share a career field let alone a social sphere with a bunch of chatgpt using ass bitches
"you're just scared your diploma is going to devalue" i'm afraid you dumb bitches are going to become my colleagues and drag social services to hell
I'm afraid they'll become scientists and data that lives depend on will turn out to be wrong - and people will die.
I'm afraid they'll become engineers and sign off on bridge designs that collapse - and people will die.
I'm afraid they'll become medical professionals who don't know what they're doing - and people will die.
The assumption that academic dishonesty is okay is rooted in the idea that what you're learning to do doesn't matter.
"The assumption that academic dishonesty is okay is rooted in the idea that what you're learning to do doesn't matter."
Alright that’s enough from male filmmakers

fuck everything. whats the media people ASSUME youre into. what are people surprised that you havent watched/played/whatever
Must've been hard as hell in the day-to-day
Frodo: I just felt like I was really locked in … idk
Sam:
Getting notes on this post is like …. Girls you might be in burnout. Sorry I can’t help. 😘 though
watching hadestown live was so surreal because i spent the whole time legitimately trying to convince myself that a) i was not going to be surprised when orpheus turned around because i KNOW the story dammit, but also simultaneously, b) he was not going to turn around and look and everything was going to turn out fine
peril wingsoffire no one could ever do it like you
its not like i was expecting a series about a dragon war to be non-violent even if it is a children's series, but i was not expecting the first book to open with an evil dragon queen stabbing another dragon with her tail and then flinging his body off a cliff
peril wingsoffire is so wild bc it's like 'what if you were so dangerous that you literally burn everyone and everything that touches you' and 'what if the only thing you'd ever been taught to do was kill' and 'what if the only thing you were ever praised for was violence' and 'what if the only way you knew how to show people you care about them was to commit acts of horrifying violence and murder' and 'what if none of that was your fault but you still did it' and 'what if you still wanted to be good after everything' but she's also a talking dragon from a book series targeted at nine year olds.
