I think one of my favorite bits in Columbo is how anybody who needs to call him just magically knows precisely which number to call, no matter where he is and who he's bothering

Probably Disney Magical World. It was the first video game I ever played, but after my brother deleted my save data multiple times, I got tired of starting over so I ended up really burnt-out on it. To this day, every time I try to play it again, I immediately get that burnt-out feeling and I'm like, "Nope," and I immediately close the game.

i know it's a popular theory that columbo's wife isn't real, or that he does have a wife but he just makes up things about her to steer the conversation during investigations. Personally, I believe she's 100% real, for this reason:

It's funnier.

"Detective cleverly steers investigation by making up convenient lies" isn't half as amusing as "detective cleverly steers investigation by sharing a bunch of true but ridiculous trivia about his own family"

To me his wife is like his car or his dog. Yes, sometimes he'll weaponize the impression they give off in order to get a suspect to underestimate him, but they aren't part of a false act. He really does live like that.

So another one of my hc for Shadow is that he needs his shoes to help him walk. I see people calling it his mobile aid. One of my thought is he’s grown so accustomed to always wearing those shoes that have what I assume to be literal metal soles since they are basically mini rocket boosters.
