That awkward moment when you forget that it's less okay to go around naked without your fishtail
Stargate Women Week Day 1: Main Character(s)
Dan Shea, who's also the stunt coordinator and the man responsible for safety on set, has more trouble with his little finger than anything else. "I double for Richard Dean Anderson and love all the action stuff, but I do have one problem. I can't seem to hold my pinky in when I'm firing a gun! So I'll come in in the morning, say 'Hi' and Rick will hold up his little finger to let me know I've messed up again." Oh, sh — sugar. There's one thing that Siler is never without as Shea explains: "Usually, whenever you see me walking by, I'm holding a wrench. It started off as just a normal wrench, but over the years, they kept giving me bigger and bigger ones, and the one I carry around now is the same size as I am! I guess it must be for cranking up the Stargate," he jokes.

so ummm I’m actually super here for the animated firefly revival. this is so much better than any live action news we could have gotten. there’s actually hope for this??? (and no joss #bless)

The woman who waits
One of the things I love most about MacGyver (1985) is that we get a hero who gets to be bad at things sometimes. Little things, too: small, random human things.
He can’t cook. He hurts his hand when he punches people, and shuts his fingers in doors sometimes. He speaks a little of several languages, all with a terrible accent of which he is very conscious. He gets cranky when he’s tired. He hates heights. His home is a mess.
He’s a ridiculously talented agent with an incredibly impressive skillset but he never stops being human to be a hero. That man is going to save the world and then he is going to go home and make a terrible tofu casserole and it is exactly that combination that makes him one of my favorite characters of all time.
Rodney Mckay’s math problem: pilots with math in some leather jackets.
(The thoughts have been lingering in my mind: how John is like a bright, sharp shooting star and Sam is like a luminous, powerful red giant sun. Or they could have been muses to minds like Rodney’s, sometimes. )
(Good heavens, I love them all)
