RIP Meeko my first car. A 2010 Honda Civic who gave me independence when I first came home from my DCP.

I named him Meeko because he could slide into any parking spot. I’d only drive him for food, friends, and adventures to those destinations.

His ‘Meeko bite’ was a menace to others and a feature for myself. If the drivers side door was open too long it would promptly close it for you, usually on an unsuspecting ankle. But I loved that if my hands were too full I would be safely tucked into my car.

Meeko had a magic gas tank. There were instances where I saw my gas gauge drop to nothing with all hope seemingly gone. Just to see it slowly build itself back up, and persist at a dot until I was in range of a gas station.

Meeko lived for 15 years. His walls will forever hold my countless cathartic car ride concerts. You were the best little guy, enjoy that big ole oak tree in the sun ✨
