(It's a little late but...) ROUND 1 IS HERE!!

The polls will go up soon, but here are the matchups! Since there are 24 matchups this round, they will be staggered, probably in the three groups. From there, the winners will be battle the winner next to them until each "bracket" has a winner, and then the finals will be a three-way battle. There could also be a losers bracket if anyone is interested lol.

We also had several submissions that included examples of fics depicting their favorite tropes, which you can find at this link! Feel free to tag me with any propaganda for your favorite tropes or send it through my asks!

Sometimes they have a very distinct personality and backstory and sometimes they don't even have a face but they're still characters, thanks to whom we can see what the fuck is going on in that world they live in. Different games have different MCs. Maybe they have the highest kill count, maybe they've got rizz or maybe they're the blankest sheet of paper there is. Regardless they're still a character just a one with a special need of a player.

And here we'll pit them against each other and try to see which one would survive/adapt better, which one's more fucked up, who has more plot armour, which one's better, and whatever else category you want to judge them in.

RULES/ INFO

This is for characters who are played by the player, who are usually under player's control but not always. It's for all them MCs in RPGs, visual novels and dating sims and maybe other types of games I forgot about

the character qualifies for the tournament if their actions are controlled by the player or the player experiences the world/plot from the perspective of the character

because of that the character doesn't necessarily need to have a defined name

No spamming, you may nominate a character once

You can nominate multiple MCs

Please only put ONE character per Google form

Be civil and respectful

Submissions will close in a month (2.06.2023, UTC +1)

Once the tournament will start each poll will last a week

Everything will be randomised

Submit as many characters as you won’t but don’t spam submit a singular character over and over again

Kronk, the previous winner, has been BANNED from the summer edition.

If you’re questioning a character, you can either check HERE! Or just write why you think they should win in the ask section (you can be anon) and we will make a poll, similar to @worstqueerbaittournament

Characters already added are Jonathan Joestar (Jojo’s bizarre adventure), Kanji tatsumi (persona), Milla Vodello (psychonauts), and Dedue Molinaro (fire emblem),

The Iron Giant, and Baymax (big hero 6kr will also return for being the runner ups

Despite that, you can submit these characters if you want to, if you want them to be in a more intense battle.

If needed, I may have to do two brackets like in the dad battle one. Though it depends.

Do you have an animal or plant that you look at and can only describe it as a "Little Guy"? I sure do! That's why I created this tournament so that your Little Guys can fight to see who's the best Little Guy!!

Submission Rules!!!!!

-Please no fictional characters or real people (I may allow a few but don't count on it) please only submit real animals or plants (perhaps an object or two)

-Extinct plants and animals are allowed (I won't be mad if you submit a dodo just sayin')

-Big guys are allowed too!!! As long as you feel it can be described as a Little Guy/ Little Dude

-Along with that, gender doesn't matter either!

-Please be civil, I've heard of tournament blogs getting a lot of hate over stupid things, just be kind, this is all just fun and games I don't want anyone hurt

-Please if possible send a link with a picture that you would like me to use in the polls in the spot on the submission form

-Propaganda is allowed! Tell me all about you little guys and why they should win!

-You can submit as many different Little Guys as you want but please only submit one of each Little Guy so I don't get bombarded with the same ones (don't worry if they won't get in it won't be about how many submissions it has)

-I do encourage you to do research on ones you find cool! One main point of this is to learn about lots of nature's Little Guys and how funky they are!

Schedule update!

Round 1 Part 3 will be going up today at 10am est, and this will also be when Round 1 Part 1 finishes up (so if you haven’t voted yet, do it now!!)

While the part 3 polls are active, I may send out a form asking for more of y’all’s fic recs as a form of propoganda, what do y’all think 👀? Also, depending on if any of the polls end up being ties (very possible for a couple!!) I’ll send out a poll about how y’all want to proceed with that!

Round 2 will be split into two parts, and the first part may go up before Round 1 part 3 ends, since there wouldn’t be overlap. I’ll let you know when that is happening 👍

I think a lot of people would be interested in Gen-only tropes (aka tropes not related to romance/sex), because Gen tropes are unlikely to have a chance otherwise

That’s a great idea! I’m thinking that after this bracket is done, we could do another for gen tropes only because they deserve it <3

(As to whether gen tropes will win this bracket, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see? I feel like there could be some contenders 🤷‍♀️)
