INGREDIENTS
½ cup rolled oats
1 banana
½ cup almond milk (or your choice of milk)
1 egg (for a vegan option use vegan egg substitute)
½ teaspoon baking power
½ teaspoon vanilla powder/extract

one day i aspire to become one of those people who wake up, meditate, drink water, do yoga, write down things that they’re grateful for, workout, make a healthy breakfast, take short cold showers, buy organic ethical clothing, wear vegan apparel to spread the message, use as little plastic as possible, grow their own plants, have a minimalistic apartment with no crap in it, buy organic food if possible, go on adventures, spread a positive message and overall live a suistanable, eco-friendly, positive lifestyle with as little stress as possible.

I just printed off my August FitChart!
It’s a pretty simple concept: I have four small, attainable, daily goals. If I meet the goal for the day, I color the box green. If I don’t meet the goal, I color the box red.
The FitChart is a great reminder of how permanent, sustainable weight loss progress is the product of small, consistent changes. If I happen to have an all-red day, I can look back to see how much I have accomplished during the month so far and it keeps me from getting discouraged and losing my motivation!
This is 100 lbs difference. But this is also a lot more than that. I lost a lot more than weight over the past few years. And gained a lot, too. Listen, yeah I look a lot better. But that’s not the point of this post. I was sick and miserable and I no longer am!! In the left picture, I was losing my (very weak) hair. My skin was always breaking out and my arms were prickly and annoying. I had a lot of odd body hair that I hated. I always felt like I smell. I was always tired. I would suffer going up the stairs. I hated when my fiends would drag me to Zumba or the mall or anything really. My appetite was all over the place. I looked a lot older. And I was taking 3 pills/day for insulin resistance and pre-diabetes. The kicker? I was just 20 years old!!! Everything is different now. Of all the changes that I went through that I am super proud of, being healthy is the one that is its own reward. I’m healthy! I’m no longer prediabetic. I don’t need medicine. I don’t need to get my blood drawn every few months. I choose to take the stairs every time. My hair is so much healthier. My skin is clear. I don’t feel like shit most of the time. And I’m no longer miserable!! Yes I lost a lot of weight. But what I gained is so much more important.
Small things to improve your life
change your bedding each month wake up early (at least before 8am) spend time with friends fairy lights everywhere wash your face daily moisturize regularly bake some treats don’t wear any make up clean your room at least every two weeks run outside get a new towel regularly invest time in cooking awesome meals discover new music spend less time online take your vitamins eat lots of fruit light some scented candles only go to bed to sleep (chill on the sofa) open your room’s windows have hot showers

what do you think of girls who wear makeup to the gym?
That depends on what they’re doing. If she’s busting her ass on the treadmill for an hour, then I’ll think “damn I wish I had her endurance and patience”. If she’s lifting heavier weights than most of the guys in the weight section, I’ll think “wow that girl is strong”. If she’s climbed like 60 flights on the stair master, then I’ll prob think “I wish I had that quad strength”. If she’s done working out and her makeup still looks flawless, I’ll prob ask her what setting spray she uses or what she uses to contour bc damn check out that highlight.

Let's get this straight, girls:
Cardio: Required for fat loss. HIIT is said to be the most effective cardio for fat loss.
Strength/Weight training: Required for toning and definition. You won’t get abs or lean-looking legs without strong muscles. Lift heavy.
Good nutrition: Required for all of the above. Always remember, 70% diet, 30% exercise. Keep your intake in check.
The “Beach Body” requires all three of these elements. No matter how much cardio you do, if you eat like shit and do no strength work, you will not get the toned, lean, slim body you are after. If you eat fantastically, but do zero exercise, your body won’t really do an awful lot of changing.
