NEW BLOG
I’m starting a new Tumblr. This one is quite a mess, and a clean slate sounds rather appealing to me. If you’d like to continue following me, I’m going to become a nature and wildlife blog. It’s real pretty, I promise you.
I will also be deleting this blog in a few days.

The Gravedigger
As you all know, McFarlane Toys released a picture of 5 upcoming TWD action figures, including Daryl as a gravedigger from s3:
And, all of this goes to bethgreenewarriorprincess who asked to have it written up:
Basically, the arcs are interconnected. Daryl dug a grave for C@rol in season 3, an empty grave because there was no body, and he also most likely did for Beth. Why wouldn’t he? She’s his girl, the one who thought honoring the dead, respecting one’s humanity, was beautiful. TPTB will show us that. So much went unanswered in those 17 days: What happened to Beth’s body? Why wasn’t Daryl part of the Richmond trip, which was done for her? The fact that a gravedigger version of Daryl is being released at the same time with a Beth figure is eye-brow raising. Like, the one major character who never got a funeral when they could’ve shown one has her first figure released with a gravedigger figure? I call bull on that. It even connects to the fact that Beth and Daryl frame the figures (X). Also, T-Dog connects to Gravedigger Daryl because he also dug T-Dog’s grave. And in Christy’s own words:
“Dale is an actual representative figure of a death we didn’t have to question. Why Michonne?? "She’s alive.Beth’s alive.“Also t dog sacrificed himself so Carol could live. Beth did that for Noah. The figures are interrelated.”
And to add my thoughts:
Why all the Dale references? Not only was his Faulkner quote the basis for the last 5 episode titles of 5b, but they used the same walker/actor in 5x14 (confirmed on TTD), nods with the RV, and toys including an RV set and an upcoming death figure. Dale was the first moral compass of the group to die and the only one who made an effort to keep time, that we were shown. He made a point of winding his watch every day. Glenn had Hershel’s watch, but we didn’t see him use it for time. In 4x16, in the flashbacks, Hershel even mention he doesn’t know what time it is anymore since he gave Glenn his watch. Hershel used the sun to figure out it was “early.” Beth was also the only active time keeper of the group, as it’s been pointed. She kept a journal and kept track of how many days went without casualties. She is their time keeper and with her gone, time is broken. TPTB want the audience to be reminded of Dale and ultimately of time, because one of the keys to the great upcoming mystery is Time. And Beth is its gears. Thoughts?
The thing is, is that’s not grave digger Daryl from Season 3! It’s grave digger Daryl from Season 4 with the rag over his face, etc…. Dunno if that changes things but to me that kinda does, with the whole linking to T-Dog & C@rol! Besides Daryl didn’t even dig C@rol & T-Dog’s graves Glenn, Oscar, dug the graves for them, and I think Axel did too! There is no linking to be had with Daryl and the graves for T-Dog & C@rol except that he put a flower on C@rols grave and that’s it!
bethyladdix, thank you for the clarification. I was wrong about the season being 3 and I rewatched the scene to be certain. I corrected my post. However,
Season 3 and 4 and 5 are still connected. Daryl was honoring the dead long before we saw him digging graves. He honored Hershel, who was denied a funeral, by putting a flower on a “Beloved Father’s” grave. It parallels what he did for C@rol, who was believed to have been devoured at the time. You are coming off as rude and belligerent, and you could have simply stated that you thought it was for season 4, etc. People make mistakes, that’s life. Learn to use some tact. You’ll go farther with it.

It happened and I was correcting your info that was all! All I said was there was no linking with the grave digging from season 3 and nothing else! I agreed with the whole Daryl putting things on the grave! I think it’s you who has her claws out, not me! I don’t know why it’s such a big deal that I would have to tip toe around telling you your facts were mixed up! How about you have some tact because seriously it wasn’t even a big deal! All I said was the truth Daryl didn’t dig the graves in S3 that it was S4! I’m pretty straight forward, I didn’t know I had to sugar coat every little thing I say! It’s not really my fault you didn’t recall correctly! Like I said I was just pointing it out and I dunno if it changes anything but to ME, I think it does! My opinion!
So tell me why are you really upset? Because I wasn’t rude and I was helping you out with the right info and just stating my opinion to boot! If it messes with your theory, that’s not my fault, so don’t take it out on me!
I think because you use the ! a lot, people get confused by reading your posts as rude and arrogant. Not what I think, but many people might think that :/ I'm not sure.

chris2081, you’re a genius! There have been TWD references in every music video since Rockstar, so it makes sense that there’d be some in Mess. So I went back and rewatched it a few times.

Just in case there's any confusion, Emily Kinney did not make this video - her manager contacted somebody on here (I can't recall their username) and they made the video. So I'm not sure any video aspects can count towards us at Team D, but the wording sure can :)

So, I haven’t been very active with theories and spec later because I don’t want to present anything that gets anyone’s hopes up unreasonably (besides me and the usual suspects) and because I don’t like building entire theories on the tiny shreds of evidence (contrary to what my hateful anons may think).
But I think I have a good one and I hope you guys will hear me out. I think it’s pretty good, honestly.
Emily has a stunt double.
I mean, duh. Of course she does. But I forgot about that until earlier today. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, given the more action intensive scripts Emily received in Season 5. Her stunt double has appeared in exactly five episodes to date.
“When the Dead Come Knocking”
“Isolation”
“Slabtown”
“Coda”
And…Season 6, Episode 6
Yeah. I was shocked, too.
When I saw that, I immediately tried to come up with other answers for WHY on God’s green earth would EMILY’S stunt double be in a season 6 episode (other than Beth lives, case closed). It’s got to be a mistake, right? Some fan must have put it there.
Except it appears on her LinkedIn as well. And LinkedIn can’t be crowd edited, wiki style like IMDB.
Her name is Sarah Reagin. She’s based in Georgia and has done a lot of really cool shit, including double for Willow Shields (who plays Katniss’ sister in THG), Hayden Penettierre in Nashville, worked on Captain America, she’s a stunt driver, and so on. Really, really cool. And she’s the only stunt double to work with Emily out of the dozens that work regularly with TWD.
So, what about other actors on TWD? Could she double as Alexandra Breckenridge? Nope, checked that. Not only is Alexandra almost a head taller than Sarah, they’re completely different bodytypes. Sarah has the same lith, ballerina build as Emily whereas Alex has a more curvy, hourglass sillouette. And her own Georgia-based double. So does Melissa and Lauren and every other female on the show. This Sarah lady seems to work exclusively with Emily. Except for when she’s played a walker.
She doesn’t specify in any of her resumes or professional lists when she’s played a walker but what would you just bet that she was at least one of the blonde walkers? Remember what Julius Ramsey said about choosing an actor who matched Emily’s proportions? What are the odds, right? And being hog tied and locked up in a car trunk during a Georgia summer is exactly the kind of thing a stunt performer does. Same with being nearly crucified to a tree. That’s not just any regular actress. That’s someone who is trained to hold their body a certain way and regulate their breathing and who knows what is safe and what is crossing a line with certainty. Am I certain that it’s her? No, I’m not. I do know that most of these roles go uncredited. And I know that we may have been asking the wrong questions all along.
