Our main Instagram page, @darkskinwomen, was recently suspended after an automated copyright sweep flagged a post that had been originally shared with the creator’s permission. We were not contacted before the strike, and the removal happened without giving us the chance to take the post down ourselves.

Over the years, our page has always honoured creator permissions, removed posts on request, and upheld the values that built this community. The suspension was triggered by a rights change we were never informed about.

We have already submitted all required counter-notices and are currently waiting for a full review. While we follow the proper channels, we’re asking our community to help raise awareness by sharing the flyer on our socials.

Dark Skin Women has been a home for visibility, representation, and sisterhood for more than a decade. We remain hopeful that this will be resolved and that our main page will be restored soon. Thank you for standing with us.
