"Mrs. Evelyn Joyce Pomeroy, 56, 4400 Sunset Blvd. NE, Renton died Saturday at her home.A native of Fargo, N.D., Mrs. Pomeroy was reared in Spokane and lived there for many years. She moved to Renton in 1969 after 15 years in Arizona.She was employed as a clerk at Seattle General Hospital and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, P.E.O. and Delta Sigma Phi.
Survivors include two sons, Charles of Seattle, and Stephen of Milwaukee, Wis.; a daughter, Mrs. Claudia Beckman, Renton; her step-mother, Mrs. Angie Kinney, Spokane; and three sisters, Mrs. Jean Schilling, Seattle, Mrs. Carol McCord, Missouri and Mrs. Doris Coleman [see obituary below], Renton.Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today in Greenwood Memorial Park. Laura Ellen Gunter, of Sagle, died Friday, March 29 at Bonner General Hospital at the age of 74. She was born Jan. 8, 1900 at Harrison County, Missouri, and married Vernon L. Gunter, July 1, 1917, at Palouse, Washington. Mr. Gunter preceded her in death in 1971.
Mrs. Gunter came to this area from Spokane in 1923 to live at Sagle. She worked for a number of years as custodian at the Sagle School.
She was an active member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at Sagle and a member of the Sagle Helping Hand Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Wheaton of Independence, MO; three sons, Robert of Independence, Elbert and Harley of Sagle; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Ward of Lapwai, Idaho, and Mrs. Sarah McDonald of Spokane; two brothers, Will Taylor of Homedale, Idaho, and Charlie Taylor of Caldwell, Idaho.
Services will be held on Monday, April 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Moon Chapel in Sandpoint with Elder Phil Schierman officiating. Interment will follow at Westmond Cemetery.

"Icyminda Fackenthall passed away Dec. 31st., 1974 at the age of 84 years. Her father [Thomas Turnbull] was one of the first settlers of the Sagle community, coming in 1884, and was a member of the Reorganized Church.
Icyminda became a member in 1905, one year before the branch was organized. The family helped to establish the church here. Services were held for her January 3rd at the Moon Chapel with Elder Elbert Gunter officiating."

He was a retired farmer and custodian at Kennewick High School. He was a member of Highland Grange and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include wife, Ella; son J. Lee Moore, Kenewick; daughter, Mrs. L. J. Cavender, Kennewick; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; stepsons, Robert Clark, Toronto, Ohio, and Del Clark, Tacoma; 10 step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

"Ernest O. Mikesell of Salem, Ore., a 1940 graduate of Riverside high school [Spokane County, WA], died Jan. 24 of an unexpected heart attack. He was 53 years old.
Survivors include his wife, Edith, at the home; one son, Jeff, of Salem; his mother Florence Mikesell [see obituary below] of Spokane; three [four] sisters and one brother, including Mrs. Evan ( Betty) Erlandson, of Loon Lake.
The deceased was an employee in the poultry division, agriculture department of the State of Oregon. He spent his leisure hours visiting the elderly and the shut-ins in Salem and wrote many children's stories.
Interment was in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Ore. for the World War II veteran."

NUTLEY -- Funeral services for Mrs. Lorena Nutley, 88, formerly of 1501 Madison, who died June 22 in Yakima Convalescent Inc., will be conducted Saturday, June 26, at 11 a.m. in SHAW & SONS CHAPEL. Mr. Paul A. Anderson of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will officiate. Interment will be at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
Mrs. Nutley is survived by her two sons, Jack Nutley of Whitstran, Wash. and Van E. Nutley of Kennewick; a daughter, Mrs. John (Nancy Claire) Mayo of Yakima; one brother, Ben Van Eaton and a sister, Claire Van Eaton, both of Yakima; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Alta E. Case, 81, of 1504 W. Truman, Independence, died Wednesday at the nursing home there. She was born near Columbus, Kan., and had lived in this area 30 years. Mrs. Case was a member of the R. L. D. S. Gladstone Congregation.
She leaves her husband, Oscar Case of the home; two sons, Warren Case, 1307 N.E. 67th place, Gladstone, and James Case, Blue Springs; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Arvilla Hart, Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Mabel Coleman, Denver; and Mrs. Zelda Cowart, San Jose, Calif.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Floral Hills Chapel; burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the chapel.
