The Verity™️ horror mod is such a good genAI warning because it is the most realistic depiction of genAI and the damage it causes to the world.

Ai data centers are purposely placed near towns. They then destroy the environment and taking up all the resources. On top of leaving no clean drinking water for people, data centers also drive locals away by using noise pollution.

There are no villagers in this world because Verity™️ ate them. It needed fuel because Mob kept using it and kept asking more complicated, more personal questions. Mob goes from asking simple Google worthy questions to asking Verity™️ what he should eat in the real world.

Mob becomes dependent on Verity™️. Dependent on something completely unnatural and unneeded in Minecraft, a perfect circle in a game of cubes.

The line “You could have” has stuck with me because it’s true. Mob could have stopped everything and save himself by simply not using Verity™️ and uninstalling the mod. The solution was so painfully simple and straightforward but he was simply too dependent on Verity™️ to see the warning signs long before it’s face and voice even changed.
