💼 Before Miranda Priestly and ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ we had ‘Funny Face’ (1957) with Maggie Prescott (Kay Thompson) and Jo Stockton (Audrey Hepburn) you can see the inspiration on Miranda’s character on Maggie.

Fred Astaire’s character is based on photographer Richard Avedon and his wife, Doe, who, like the character “Jo Stockton,” became a noted model despite her indifference toward that profession.

Elizabeth Fraser (singer of Cocteau Twins) dated Jeff Buckley during 1994 and 1995

This is a fragment of and interview she’s in, for a BBC documentary about Jeff’s life called “Everybody here wants you” released on 2002 and recovered by one of the BEST archival accounts on Jeff’s work (@/mojopin1983) the sharing of dairies and the intimacy it represents were things that made this relationship intense and deeply personal, they broke up before Buckley’s death because of touring schedules and a feeling of outgrowing eachother but they have an unreleased collab that remains one of my favorite songs of all time, this song was never supposed to see the light and Fraser has expressed her disappointment at the leak which is the reason I won’t be posting it, but you can find it still on youtube if you haven’t
