The girl smirked. “John and Lir sitting in a tree. K I S S I N G.  Dad put bets on it happening,  with his team.   “

Lir snorted at the girl’s singing. She would need to shoot Jack in both kneecaps with an actual gun, she decided amusedly. Probably several times. “I should get into that betting too. I’d win, since I’d bet on never,” she chuckled though.

“Tell you what, how about we leave the Hub and go grab some ice cream?” She offered.

“Dad said John is like candy that you can’t resist. “ The girl shrugs. “I suppose ice cream is good.”

Lir exhaled slowly. “Not really, no. Just keeping an eye on you till your mom or dad pick you up, which should be soon.” Hopefully before they hurt themselves, given the time agent was hardly suited for this kind of…task.

“Can we go see  some Aliens?”  She had Ana’s excitement and her father’s seemingly lack of fear.  “Are you and John going get married? He said he would be a good wife or a good husband. Dad said you not getting any  younger .”

Lir snorted, partly amused, partly derisively at the girl’s words. “Fairly sure I’m not allowed to take you out to see aliens, sorry. As for the rest, no, not planning to marry John Hart, of all people and I will be having a conversation with your dad,” she smirked.

“Right now, though…how about some chocolate cake?”
