Cute shrubbery and greenery at the Getty Villa!
Beautiful and tasty cakes. Not too sweet and not too heavy. It’s a cute little Japanese cake shop. The workers are so so kind and meticulous about everything—I just love the service here 💕. Location: Pâtissiere Chantilly
Beautiful sunset
This trip to San Diego was AMAZING. La Jolla is honestly so beautiful (and the gelato there is so good). And if you get out of La Jolla and go to like where Mitsuwa is, you can find great Asian restaurants and markets. San Diego is just so diverse, and I always get great, positive vibes when I visit. On another note, ONLY in the Mitsuwa here in San Diego can you find the super delicious crepe place from Japan called, “Marion Crepe.”
Locations: La Jolla, San Diego Mitsuwa for Marion Crepe, and Wa Dining OKAN (really really good Japanese restaurant—the burdock roots are my fave)
I always hear “San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge”, and while I do think it’s nice, I think Sausalito is also worth a visit. It’s such a charming little seaside town.
Locations: Sausalito & San Francisco
I just love it when it rains...ish. I only love it when I’m at home snuggled up in my bed with at least three fuzzy blankets.
This place was absolutely breathtaking. I’m not much of a nature person (mostly because I don’t get along with insects), but I loved this place. The waterfalls and forest gave off such an ambient, relaxing atmosphere. And the mountaintop views were so so beautiful. I felt like I was in a Studio Ghibli movie. It was that magical.
Location: Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves in New Hampshire
This place’s waffles are SO good--light and fluffy on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. AKA perfection. As for their ice-cream flavors, some of them are quite unique, but all of them are so flavorful and delicious. (And it’s quite cheap when you order the combo.) Their iced teas are so good--not too sweet but not too bitter either. Oh and I was so surprised to see they had flowery lattés there, but I have to say, it was a bit too flowery for me. If you guys like strong flowery flavors, then get the flowery drinks here, but if you’re like me and just like a hint of it, then I suggest not getting it. Other than that, I absolutely loved this place. Not only is the food great, but the interior is minimalist, which nicely complements the fun and colorful waffles. But just a quick heads up, this place is extremely small (like I’d say 8 seats max), so make sure if you want to eat here and not get waffles to go, come when it’s not busy.
Location: Gadani
So even from a tea-lover’s perspective, this coffee was DELICIOUS. It was the perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness with a hint of mint. Plus omg the vegan donut was HEAVENLY. I’ve tried a few vegan doughnuts before and nothing compares to this. While it may not look like a doughnut (looks more like a scone), it definitely tastes like one—sweet glaze and soft dough (on the inside). If you haven’t tried this place yet, you’re missing out.
Location: Philz Coffee
I don’t know if you guys can tell but I really love red velvet. But at the same time, I also really love yellow berry shortcake. So... I ordered both of them, which may have been a mistake on my part because the portion sizes were HUGE. (Luckily my sis loves these cakes as much as I do and ate half, saving me a lot of calories there lol)
Location: Sweet Lady Jane
The lemonade was a bit messy, but nevertheless, it was still delicious (at least to me--I prefer my lemonade a bit on the less sugary side). This definitely has been one of the cutest and most colorful cafés I’ve ever been to 🐻💕
Location: Cafe Maji
Let me just say that first of all this cafe was absolute perfection. It had marble + succulents + sprinkles + rainbow + red velvet + avocado. And not only were the food and lattés a-m-a-z-i-n-g, but the tableware was too--more specifically the cups because they didn’t have a handle! Talk about fancy amirite?
