I'm Lama Al-Hourani, 24 years old, administrative assistant from Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip and my husband Mohammed, 30 years, an accountant for Elites Centers Group in the Gaza Strip.
We married in August 2022, our lives are filled with love, happiness and comfort in a beautiful, quiet, spacious and warm house that has never lacked anything of all the requirements and luxury and this house was like everything we had. Life turned upside down in Khan Yunis ground war.
My husband's family of 12 people and I had to be forcibly displaced to the city of Rafah without anything in a tent that does not accommodate five people in a cold and harsh winter with the difficult possibilities of life without income and all the necessities of life are 20 times the price of more than its normal price.
On the 120th day of the war, our beautiful house was bombed, which I did not live in for more than two years. The family house of six floors has settled on the floor and we only have some beautiful memories and some pictures left.
My husband lost his job because of the occupation blowing up the centers in the Gaza branch and Khanyonis, and we lost the beautiful family car as well, and I stopped working as well because of this grinding war.
We became homeless and jobless. Help us get out of Gaza. Every dollar makes a difference and saves our lives.

Checked on this, the company issued a formal apology where they admitted they assumed the author was straight because she “presented herself as straight”
They’ve deleted their twitter, turned off comments for their YouTube channel (why do they have one of those??) And then posted one of those YouTuber apology statements.
Recently we were in the wrong with an author and we’d like to formally apologize and explain ourselves. An author submitted their manuscript
the narrative that we are infertile, incapable, and unwilling to have children is a lie
trans people often face discrimination in adoption opportunities, and we need to normalize the idea that people like us do have our own children
transfem people/trans women/other non-gestational parents can induce lactation and feed their children
transmasc and other gestational parents can find trans affirming healthcare, even in obstetrics. there’s a growing number of lgbt doulas and midwives trained to help affirm the gestational parent’s wishes
intersex trans people can also have children - and we often face a doubled-down narrative that we are infertile and shouldn’t attempt to have children
polyam trans couples also have a broader range of gestational and postpartum opportunities for raising children, or even multiple monogamous trans couples co-parenting/co-gestating with shared resources
if you are a trans person who wants to have bio children, there are spaces out there for you, there’s a community of trans parents and trans people who are trying to conceive
interrupting the bday celebrations to say st. vincent's volcano la soufriere on their largest island chain just erupted and the smoke rose to 10km in the air, and ash is falling heavily.
st. vincent is a very small island in the caribbean - much smaller than that of my own country and my country is like a dot on the world map - of only 100k+ citizens and at least 7,000 people were told to evacuate. this is the first eruption since 1979. st. vincent is a predominantly black country, and as of now i haven't seen any petitions as yet from the people. all i can do is hope that we can boost this and send them our love and support.

please pray for the caribbean folks. while this volcano is specifically affecting st vincent, st lucia (my island) and barbados are both on the look out for volcanic ash fallout, which isnt great during a pandemic, especially since our population will be under vaccinated for a while. i'm on the look out for any funds to help our neighbours to the south.
