Noxle makes a new crew mate
The young Tabaxi did not know what her fate was sitting in the dark prison with other children. Each chained to a cage and each cage kept far enough apart no one could help or comfort each other. She was taken from her Home and being an orphan knew there would be no one coming to save her,
She was told she was exotic with her eyes being different and her fur having a strange pattern. She heard someone up stairs then another person. Her ears were good but she knew not to call out as the last child to do so was beaten for it. she sat there scared and cold with her only hope being that she die a painless death at this point.
There was a clattering and crashing behind her that she chose to ignore as it was probably the rats that frequent the area.Then she saw it in the dark, a dark spiky thing run through the dark.The thing hides as a man dressed in regal clothes opens the door at the top of a flight of stairs and starts down with a person behind him in a hooded robe.
When they got to the bottom the noble stayed by the stairs and the hooded figure came over to the cages. “Dont see many of you in this area” he spoke to her with a harsh but also soft voice. She reached out and touched the cage revealing a large claw that grabbed the cage. The girl was scared but didn’t move not having anything to live for had take her energy to try and survive away.
The hood whispered to her no that only she could hear “do you want to live and be free? I can help you if you want.” She nods and speaks for the first time in what seems like weeks with a purr and a sweet voice “please save me from this hell.”
The claw tears the cage door off and the man shouts “that is not allo-” his speech was cut off by a young tortal lunging and spearing his knee from the side. The little monster moved fast and was already on top of him. he punched the man in the face with the head of an axe he had choked up on.
The young man was a vicious monster that in no time had managed to turn the mans face into a bloody mess. The door swung open and two guards came running down. both were met with a swift pair of hands from the hooded figure now standing at full height and being much larger than before. One guard was quickly dispatched with a flurry of fist to the face while the other was not as lucky.
The little spike monster had jumped on him as well ad was already smashing his face into putty. The giant removed the girl from the cage and went to saving others while the little monster stood at the bottom of the stairs. When the door opened again he was ready with his axe but seemed to calm when he noticed who it was. This time it was a Dwarf women with shiny jewelry.
The young Tabaxi walked over to her and was lifted into her arms. “you got a name little thing.” Her answer was jest to shake her head and she clung to the women “stay with you?” The women hugged her and lowered her to the floor “nono come see your sister and give her a fitting name,”
Noxle walked over to her dripping with blood “your pretty, I will call you Jiji.” She smiled and nods, and she starts purring. Noxle croaked and wiped of the blood off. The crew celebrates Noxle doing a good job and the large figure removed there hood too reveal her owl head and she helped take the children on the ship.
Now Jiji was sadly singing on the side of the air ship she called home. The dwarf she had come to call her mother walked over and looked at her in a way she knew. “No i am not sad or upset.” She leaned back on her feet “lieing to me now?” She sighed “ok i am sad Noxle has found someone else, I mean i hope she makes him happy but i always thought it would be me.” She pat the little one on the head “to him you are a sister, one that he loves and will never betray. He simply found a different type of love. She will make him happy jest as you always made him smile when you were little.” They smiled at each other as the ship sailed on the sea of clouds.
