Viktor but his mental distress is visible this time x33
The right combination of the elements can save the world or destroy it
The state of the world has been on my mind It’s weighed on my shoulders, demanding my time Something is missing, it’s hard to stay sane Why do the answers seem lost and arcane? — The State of the World, Kalandra

?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!??
jayvik so gay they replaced the official gay flag
It kinda frustrates me when people say Jayce is crazy obsessive over Viktor and then use the hexcore scene as an example for his "controlling and obsessive nature."
For one, Viktor is dying and Jayce went for notebooks and schematics first. Not the hexcore. It reacted to Viktor and caught Jayce's attention. He ran into the room and paid it no attention until it started flashing and doubling in size.
Two, Jayce was also a victim of the attack. He was in that room. He just survived an assassination attempt and found his best friend dying on the floor. He's traumatised, panicked, and very clearly not in his right mind.
People talk about that scene like he dumped Viktor on the table and immediately grabbed the hexcore and fused Viktor with it, when that's not the case. If he'd had a chance to really think about the consequences, to remember that Viktor begged him to destroy the hexcore, there might have been a different outcome. But there wasn't any time.
Jayce always wanted Viktor.
I think about this viktor a lot
The body horror of his face in herald form is absurd im glad it gets brought up
He is so insane for this - why is he so princess built
How much estrogen was in that thing
Jayce will understand
SHUT UPPPPPPP
Tv girl jayvik tv girl jayvik tv g
After explosion, Jayce and Mel stood among the ruins of a council room, holding onto each other.
Maybe that was the last thing Victor saw before he lost consciousness.
Oh, before he died.
He's so dramatic his first reaction on seeing his partner with somebody else is to die instantly
they didn't kiss but their destinies are intertwined forever. they didn't kiss but in every universe they find each other and only jayce can make viktor understand his faults. they didnt kiss but jayce doomed viktor to his fate as the machine herald and then saved him. they didn't kiss but their love literally saved the world
Lowkey leaving their relationship for interpretation like that instead of recognizing and accepting their chemistry together as something more that a brotherly bond just shows how scared or perhaps indecisive the writers were. Queer couples are often denied representation in media becouse of the homophobic or ignorant people in power trying to appeal to the bigoted audience to gain as much money as possible. It's obvious that arcane pushes past that with what they did with Vi and Caitlyn, but they still are not committed enough to do the same with jayvik.
I think it's becouse of the fact that they weren't supposed to be viewed in a romantic or ambiguous light in the beginning of their story (as the writers have addmitted), so the fact that final progression of their relationship had romantic undertones came to a surprise to a lot of the staff. That led to a kind of revelation that a lot of the writers interpreted differently and becouse of the contradicting ideas about their ending they left it open for interpratation to avoid dissatisfaction from any of the people involved.
However becouse of the neglect of queer representation and not seeing the potential, they shot themselves in the leg in the end. A LOT of the people working on the show gave this ship so much love and care (like the animators, storyboard artists, voice actors, creative directors and some of the writers) that the decision to leave them "up to interpratation" is just an excuse to not give the queer folks more positive and natural depiction of them on screen. It seems as just another excuse to keep the homophobic audience watching arcane and then deny what made those characters who they are to fit their idea of the show aligned with their beliefs. It really screams "ignorance" to me. Their potential was obvious to see as a casual viewer, how much more of it is clear to someone who's entire job it is to analyze those characters????
two hearts, two souls, one mind
no WAY i didn't notice that Jayces bandage looks A LOT like Viktors brace.
We all know that Jayce in s2 was on a journey to help him better empathize w Viktor and the struggles he doesn't talk about. Him being in a cave he needs to get out of with a severe leg injury was a metaphore to Viktor making his way up the social ladder to join Piltovers scientists with his disability. With this being rather clear to see I didn't look further but omg the subtle similarities really started as early as ep2!!!!!!
drops them in a gothic horror au
