Today marks my 2 year weight loss journey/new lifestyle change. Thanks to Keto/low carb. 2 years ago I was incredibly depressed, I hated how I looked and felt like no one could look past my looks to see my personality and heart. I felt that my physical health was hurting my longevity of life. I wasn’t taking care of my body and eating the crappy food that I shouldn’t of been eating. I started this journey and new lifestyle to better myself, be a great example to my family and friends and hoping be in more shape for when I have kids. I don’t want to be lazy, miserable and not able to run around with my kids when I do decide to have some. During this 2 year journey I’ve lost at least 60 lbs but I know I’ve gained at least 10lbs of muscle. I used to weigh 222, and as of this morning I’m about 170. I also have improved my blood pressure. It used to be around 130-140/90’s. Last time I checked it, which was at an Urgent Care, it was 122/80. My mental health has gotten better. I’m more confident in how I look. Also my beard routine has drastically improved and it looks much healthier now. (That’s one thing I improved on this past year lol). The one thing I’m still working on is perfecting my diet routine and gym routine and not being afraid to try on smaller clothes and thinking I “look fat”. I used to wear Large to XL shirts. Now I can fit into medium and sometimes small shirts. I’m not stopping here. My other goal is to completely lose this gut I have left and build muscle. Thank you for everyone that has been supporting me, cheering me on and understanding my diet the best that they can and know that I don’t eat certain things anymore and adjust to it as they can. As lastly, Sorry for the long post. #keto #ketodiet #mentalhealth #mensmentalhealth #beardhealth #lowcarb #lowcarbdiet #weightloss #weightlossjourney #60lbsdown #10lbsofmuscle #gymrat #progresspics #gingerbeard #irishbeard https://www.instagram.com/p/Cndk8tVN_pS/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
