A Bad Driver Sticker stuck to a van.
The Bike’s Voice Box in motion, it even flashes at the parked van behind!
The Bike’s Voice Box fitted and tested!
How to make the Bike’s Voice Box!
A new refined bike lane stencil, cut out the grey areas and the stencil is ready! Feel free to save this image and print in A1, then go and spray where you want a bike lane.
The Bikes Voice Box is ready to go! The sensor detects if someone is too close to you and then displays a message of your choosing, in this video i have picked the strong and effective phrase of “YOU PRAT”.
p.s sorry for holding the camera the wrong way
Wiring up the Bike Voice Box!
Arduino: Bikes Voice Box sketch (code)
/* AnalogReadSerial Reads an analog input on pin 0, prints the result to the serial monitor. Attach the center pin of a potentiometer to pin A0, and the outside pins to +5V and ground.
This example code is in the public domain. */ int ledPin = 9; // the setup routine runs once when you press reset: void setup() { // initialize serial communication at 9600 bits per second: Serial.begin(9600); pinMode(ledPin, OUTPUT); }
void loop() { // read the value of the potentiometer: int analogValue = analogRead(A0);
// if the analog value is high enough, turn on the LED:
if (analogValue < 200) { digitalWrite(ledPin, HIGH); delay(1000); } else { digitalWrite(ledPin, LOW); delay(1000); }
// print the analog value: Serial.println(analogValue); delay(10); //delay(100); // delay in between reads for stability }
//Just copy and paste this in the free Arduino software and the coding is done for you!
The plan is swiftly becoming a reality! To make your own simply go to http://boxmaker.connectionlab.org/ and type in the dimentions: Width: 150mm Depth: 50mm Height: 100mm I used the 3mm thick acrylic and it works very well. Then go to advanced settings, Notch length: 15 Cut width: 0.3 *Note cut width varies for each laser cutter so check these dimensions before you order this to be cut.

A message to drivers who endanger the lives of others, helping cyclists in the constant battle that is British roads. This image is designed to be a sticker to stick to cars which endanger cyclist lives, the cars with more stickers are more dangerous. Save this image, turn it into a sticker and go stick it to some cars!
Plans, schemes and ideas are coming together...
EXPERIMENTS BEGIN!
Research suggests the use of symbols can help drivers identify cyclists more quickly – giving them more time to react – and provide a shortcut to feelings of empathy and vulnerability
A new form of Anti-theft device has been trialed at Portsmouth University, when the bike moves it triggers a CCTV camera to begin watching the thief, hopefully identifying them.
The ‘invisible Helmet’ is essentially a cyclist air-bag, it deploys at the moment of crash encasing your neck and head, ensuring less injuries.
New spray paint can be applied to any fabric or surface, washes out – and reflects beaming headlights Volvo’s new spray is invisible by day but by night highly luminous. Unfortunately it washes off in the rain, how can this be fixed?
