And Riker killed Billy the end.
After finding somebody who lived there, in this case Vincent, and acquiring a t-shirt, Billy decided there was no point sticking around here anymore. He left the apartment quickly. Once outside, he found himself passing a couple kissing. He didn’t stop to try and figure out who they might be, he kept walking until he disappeared into the night.
aliciawittingham:
“Does it fucking look like I do?” She retorted, gesturing to herself before storming passed him towards Penny’s door. “Go ask somebody who lives here.”
He wanted to try and explain himself but Alicia was going to be last person to understand. He sighed, walking away in the hopes of running into somebody who could help him with his nudity sooner rather than later.
aliciawittingham:
Alicia had been sat reflecting on recent events, but mostly on her ex-boyfriend sneaking off with some religious whore, when she was confronted with a half-naked Billy being thrown, very ungraciously, from her friend’s bedroom. She couldn’t even remember seeing him go in there. “What the actual fuck, Billy?” She demanded, anger building inside the more she began to question why she was seeing what she was seeing.
“It’s not what it looks like, Alicia!” He snapped, trying to defend himself. He was becoming increasingly aware how how much of his bare skin was visible, and it wasn’t exactly a state he wanted more people to see him in. “Do you have something I can wear?”
kidkurtis:
He looked over to Penny, quite confused about her expression. He didn’t really put two and two together, unsure whether something he said had triggered her or if she was just feeling unwell. Vince seemed to notice it as well and lightly pushed her shoulder. “Hey, Penny are you good?” he asked, while Kurtis turned to grab a half full bottle of gin and handed it over to Billy, without a second thought, as he was already quite distracted by the surroundings. “Chug this.”
“What?” Penny’s expression turned from anger to guilt in a flash as she turned to Vincent. “Yeah,” she lied, her eyes glancing at Kurtis for a moment before looking back at her other flatmate. “I’m just too sober for this.” She explained, raising her Diet Coke as an example. Billy took the gin, an expression that said that he was far from prepared to go through with this dare. “I’m going to die. This is it.” He was starting to remember why he’d sworn not to hang out with these people again. Lifting the bottle to his lips, it didn’t take Billy more than a couple of sips before he starting coughing and spitting up alcohol everywhere.
rxthoswald:
Ruth walked in, a bit shyly, since she hadn’t been there in a while, and looked around. She had noticed the boy, but didn’t want to be a bother, just yet. She walked around the store for a bit, gazing over the shelves where all the audio tapes were the last time she went there. Disoriented, she finally decided to approach the boy. He looked familiar, and that fact alone made her feel a bit better. “Good morning, there.” she greeted, politely. “Do you know, per chance, where I could find the blank cassettes?”
Billy sighed, he’d noticed the girl as she approached him. Her face was familiar but he couldn’t quite place it. He was too tired to deal with customers today, so he reminded himself to smile and turned to her. “Oh, hey,” he greeted in return. “I know there should be some by the cash register, up at the front.” He pointed over the rows of shelves towards the front of the store. “I have a feeling that we ran out, so if there’s none there let me know and I’ll check in the back for you.”
petemacintosh:
Pete followed Billy into the backroom, shutting the door behind them both. “Okay, Billy, listen to me,” he began calmly. “Last night- Have you seen the newspaper today?” Billy nodded. “The girl who was attacked… It was Penny. I thought you should know. Just in case the cops come around asking questions.”
Billy felt confused, shocked, and a little annoyed. “Is she okay?” That wasn’t the first question that had come to Billy’s mind. The first had been; why the fuck would the police be coming to question him? But he thought it would be inappropriate to ask that before anything else after finding out somebody he knew could be dying.
petemacintosh:
Pete had spent half the night ringing his supposed girlfriend in the hopes that she’d answer, which she didn’t. Instead he woke up that morning to the phone ringing for him. “Pete, it was Penny. The girl who was stabbed, it was Penny.” It took him a moment to recognise Alicia’s voice but for he could say anything she’d hung up. “What the-” he muttered to himself. What about Penny? And what did she say about a stabbing? He flicked on the local news channel and it did like for him to make sense of things after that. The first thing he did was phone Noella. The second thing he wanted to do was phone Maverick, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it after the things that were said last night. He sighed. Who else needed to know? Billy.
The taxi ride with the guy had been a mostly quiet one. “Hey Pete, I’m sorry about-” Billy finally spoke up. “Don’t worry about it, man.” Pete replied, shaking his head. It might have started with Billy but where things went wasn’t his fault. “I guess you won’t be joining us next time,” he laughed, Billy joining in. “There’ll be a next time?” He asked with a raised brow. Pete shrugged. “We’re friends, man. There’s always a next time… And you know, if you want to risk it you’re welcome to join. We just won’t be sending you for drinks.” Their chuckles faded back into silence. “I think I like Penny.” Billy stated absentmindedly. “Oh?” Pete raised an eyebrow. He wasn’t completely surprised but still, Penny was pretty enough but her and Billy had barely spoken at all during the night. “She’s not seeing anyone is she?” Billy asked. Pete didn’t want to give the guy any false hope. Alicia had been floating around a theory with him that Penny had a crush on her roommate for the last couple of days, so he didn’t know what he should say. “Not as far as I know, man.” Their conversation drifted into small talk territory after that. The cab dropped Billy off first and they said their goodbyes.
Pete walked into the record store. It didn’t take him long to locate the other boy. “Hey, can we talk?” he asked.
“Shit!” Pete surprised Billy enough that he dropped the CDs in his hands. He bent down to pick them up, trowing them onto the shelf. “How do you know where I work?” He asked after regaining her composure. “Yeah, yeah. This way.” Billy lead Pete into the backroom, feeling more than confused as to why he was here. “What’s going on?”
After the events of the previous night Billy told himself that there was no way in hell he was hanging out with those people again. They were insane. Is that what slight popularity did to you? Jesus Christ, he didn’t want to think about it. Instead he focused on work. He’d been working at the record store since freshman year. Not many would have thought Billy had any interest in music, it was a fact about himself he liked to surprise people with. He shuffled about the aisles, reorganising some of the records and cassettes, not looking up at the sound of the ringing bell as somebody entered the store.

Kurt wasn’t a person to get involved in a physical fight often enough to know how to end it, but he tried his best to get out of there alive. He was leaning over some dude when he got a fist straight to his face and flew backwards. He only had the time to wipe the blood off his lip real quick before he had to jump back into the battle mode. He quickly looked around and grabbed one of the chairs, using it to push the offender away. It worked for like three seconds, before the other guy grabbed the end of the chair and pushed it forcefully back at Kurt, making him fall straight onto the table that instantly broke, along with the glasses. Noella could hear Maverick’s swearing and cold laughter as he called some dude a little cunt and broke a glass on his head. She, herself, tried to get out of there, pushing through the crowd, but all she got back were even more forceful pushes. She bumped into the wet-from-alcohol, crying girl who felt offended straight away and grabbed Noella’s hair. At this point, Noella was done with this evening. She elbowed the other in the chin and grabbed by the neck, slamming her hard against the nearest wall, before letting her fall to the ground. “Stupid bitch.” she hissed.
Penny was screaming for it all to stop by this point, tears streaming down her cheeks. She edged closer to the chaos, ready to help in any way she could, when an elbow flew into her mouth. She held her fingers up to her lips, feeling a sting instantly. When she pulled them away they were covered in blood. She stepped back, and at that moment Billy decided to step forward. He didn’t do anything other than that before ‘the boyfriend’, who had beaten Pete’s face in by now, seemed to remember who had start this whole mess. A fist swung for his face, but fate seemed to be on Billy’s side. At the moment the fist should have been making contacting with him he felt himself being dragged away. The security guards had finally decided take action against the bar brawl that had broken out. Pete was picked up off the floor and was pushed towards the doors by two hulking men in guards’ uniforms, Billy only needed to be told to leave before he almost ran for the exit. He heard Penny’s protests, trying to help her friends, as he left. Riker was still standing outside, looking completely unamused by the situation.
kidkurtis:
He narrowed his eyes and then snickered, shaking his head. “A bit, I’d say. But it’s alright –– you’re fine.” he informed her.
“Oh my god,” Penny sighed, crossing her arms on the table and dropping her head into them. She mumbled something intelligible before lifting her head up. “Don’t let me drink,” she pleaded. Meanwhile, Pete hadn’t been able to draw his eyes away from the door where he had last seen Alicia. He snapped himself out of haze, glancing at the empty drinks around the table. “Hey Billy!” He snapped his fingers at the boy, pulling him out of his own daydreams. He hadn’t noticed, and hopefully nobody else had noticed to, but his eyes had been on Penny ever since she’d came back from the bathroom. “Go get the next round.” Pete ordered, looking tired. “Oh yeah, sure, of course,” he stuttered getting out of his seat. “What should I get?” He asked Pete. “Just what we had last time.” He pushed some money into Billy’s hands.

Kurt’s eyes wandered around the table for a while, his expression, if it were a meme, would be something along the lines of “disappointed, but not surprised”. But he let go of the subject, sitting back into his chair. Rick, however, raised his glass with confidence. “’kay guys, we’re gonna have to chill for a second!” he announced, his words coming out in a slurred monotone. “Let’s get back to the present. The present time, y’all –– that’s now.” he took a huge sip of his drink, before putting the glass down with enthusiastic force. He turned to Billy, gesturing him with his hand. “Bobby, my boy, tell me–– what’s your experience with hard tobacco?”
Billy was surprised by his draw to attention, he sat with the expression of a surprised meerkat. “Uh, limited. Unsurprisingly,” he stuttered, his nerves seemed to be conquering the drink running through his veins. Despite this being his second sex on the beach tonight he wasn’t feeling it. “And it’s Billy, actually.”
noell-al:
Kurt scooched a bit to let the girl get through, but wasn’t too helpful judging by the amount of liquor that got spilled over the table. He let out a low hum under his breath and reached out to pick up the glasses to put them back into a standing position. Noella, however, managed to get through without a bigger problem, grabbing her drink on the way. She quickly approached the girl, putting a hand on her shoulder to keep her somehow balanced. “Come on, girl.” she looked over at the guys, noticing their slightly confused expressions. “Be nice.” she told them, before leaving.
Pete snickered, while Riker reached for another shot (no he didn’t because he’s driving and I’m an idiot), and Billy still felt like he shouldn’t be here. “Is she going to be alright?” he asked, slightly concerned but more confused. Pete only let out another round of laughter.
noell-al:
“Yeah, but it wasn’t anything serious–– Rick’s just that kind of guy.” Noella explained as if this wasn’t a big deal. I mean, technically that was the case, Rick liked to get laid and it wasn’t an unknown fact. “I haven’t heard from him since last night. But, we’re all heading for a beer later, if you wanna come.”
“Yeah, that would great! Or, like, y’know, that would be chill.” Billy stuttered out excitedly. “I’d be down for that.”
noell-al:
“Yeah. I didn’t really know what to tell them–– we’ve partied with Martha a couple of times, and I knew of Helena because she and Rick hooked up once.”
“The did?!” Billy didn’t know why sounded so surprised, probably better than sounding disappointed. He’d always had a little crush on Helena, if had to be honest with himself. “I bet his interrogation wasn’t all that fun.”
noell-al:
“I don’t know if many good places are willing to accept an unprofessional chef, but it’s worth a shot.” she went silent when a police officer walked past them, heading to the principal’s office. Interrogation, she figured. Students had been getting called in and out of the office since the very first period. The police wasn’t wasting any time. She looked at him, pushing a lock of hair behind her ear. “Have they questioned you?”
“Uh, yeah.” He mumbled, his eyes following the police officer until he disappeared. “But I didn’t really know either of them. I was in Chemistry, I think, with Helena last year but other than that... There was nothing much they could ask me. What about you?”
noell-al:
“They’re gonna revamp the place. Our new manager is shit, wants to fire a bunch of people, and I can’t risk not making the cut. “
“Oh, right.” He paused. “I’m sure you’ll find something else. Piece of cake.”
