A study group at Cairo University created and implanted 8 root analog dental implants in 2020.
Unfortunately, none of the implants healed.
What we can learn from this study is that it is not easy to create root analog implants and get them to heal.
We can only hope that our colleagues will not be discouraged by these failures.

As early as 2016, we recognized the opportunity of Industry 4.0 for the production of anatomical implants.
The implants are therefore produced completely digitally from a 3D X-ray image (CT/CBCT) and enoral scans so that patients from all over the world can be treated in just one short visit and the patient can fly home the same day.
We are now working intensively on the implementation of AI so that the implants can be produced even more economically and cost-efficiently.

This work only proves that without sufficient experience with anatomical immediate implants, the results are worse than if you have sufficient experience in screwing in simple ceramic screws, at least in the mandibular premolar region, where there is usually sufficient bone for drilling.
The research group also overlooks the fact that anatomical immediate implants can also be placed immediately in the maxillary posterior region without a sinus lift and that this is impossible in most cases with simple WhiteSky, Bredent screws.

This video shows the design of a root extension for an anatomical ceramic immediate implant.
Because of a root tip resection, the future implant bed is first extended with a drilling template so that a fully anatomical ceramic immediate implant with root extension can then be inserted without any further surgical procedures (no flaps, no bone augmentation).

The basis of every root-formed implant is proper tooth segmentation.

In the posterior region of the maxilla, a sinus lift is required in more than 95% of all cases.
With CMDs (Custom Medical Devices), immediate implants can be placed in the maxilla in less than a minute without the need for a bone graft (sinus lift).
And even if we were only successful in 20% of cases, we would still avoid 20% of sinus lift operations.
However, we have a success rate of over 90% and therefore prevent more than 90% of sinus lift operations.
