I came out to my parents as bi at 16. My dad suggested “conversion camp” as an option for me when I was 16-17 years old. He didn’t go through with it, and I remember refusing to go and reading on the internet how damaging it could be. But he almost did. It still haunts me, and I’m 20 now.

This is a real threat for LGBT teenagers, not some “cute” AU for your gay OTP.
