katara and sokka are what happens when you are your brother’s mother and your brother also tries to be your father. you love them, you hate them, you’re half of them, you can’t stand them, you look after them, they keep you safe.

azula and zuko are both just gifted kid burnouts with a dad that only loves the winner.

sometimes when I’m being especially self deprecating and convinced no one likes me I have to tell myself “you’re being goob. you are being goob right now”

obviously you shouldn't be forced to interact with anyone you don't want to interact with and you're not inherently a bad person for this, but

when you say you "don't interact with addicts" you have a very specific idea in your head of what an addict looks like and how an addict behaves. you are making sweeping generalisations about what it means to be an addict that are, honestly, unfair generalisations to make

you probably do already interact with addicts because we're everywhere. lol. in fact, in the act of reblogging one of my posts.... congrats! you interacted with an addict

part of the reason I made that post in the first place was because people always insist on telling me how evil they find addicts to be In General (I promise I don't mean you though!!!). they tell me (an addict) that MOST addicts are violent or that they're so sad that some people are addicts but they could NEVER work with one etc etc etc. you do not need to add to this by coming onto an addict's post about addiction and telling them (when you weren't even asked!) that you wouldn't be able to be friends with them

you guys really need to stop telling addicts this shit. I promise you. we have heard it enough. we KNOW that you don't want to be friends with us. we don't need to hear it

since this came up in my notes again, I’d also like to add:

don’t talk about how “brave” or “inspirational” it is of our loved ones to be dealing with us. I know my partner is really great, but they’re not just “putting up with me”. come on now

don’t hold up an addict you see as “one of the good ones” and compare all other addicts to them. treating someone with dignity should not be conditional on how good they are at meeting your arbitrary standard of humanness

ask yourself why it is you feel so comfortable talking about addicts in these ways when you wouldn’t necessarily act the same way when it comes to other groups. seriously. think about it <3

I have never watched a mr beast video and every time I see his face doing that weird dead smile he does in every thumbnail, it just looks like that one photo of charlie from always sunny to me
