BILL WITT HANGAR - An abandoned building severely rusted paired with broken windows and scattered scrap metal alone is eerie.
The old airplane hangar at Bill Witt Park, which attracted visitors up to no good, was torn down a couple of years ago.
But some guests might still be there. Corpus Christi Spook Central, and other Corpus Christi residents claim spirits called out their names, had brand new flashlights and camera batteries die immediately on site and witnessed the remnants of what looked like odd witchcraft sacrifices.
RITZ THEATER - The Ritz Theater is open from 7 p.m. to midnight Wednesday for a Halloween haunted house. However, those looking for a real scare might actually get one, considering the real-life haunted experiences that have gone down there.
The Corpus Christi PATCH group, a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring the Ritz Theater, had multiple incidents with spirits that haunt the building. The group held paranormal investigations from 2007 to 2011 where the public could use real paranormal equipment. During the tours, groups would walk around the theater in the dark asking questions or calling out to the spirits.
WILSON PLAZA - Just because a building is old, doesnât mean itâs haunted. The Wilson Plaza is one of those old buildings in town that has mixed opinions of having paranormal activity.
Internet stories claim people have seen shadows or heard noises while alone in their Wilson Plaza offices in the early mornings or late nights. More rumors include elevators stopping at random floors and the feeling of someone watching.
HAYWARD HOUSE - A house on the 1200 block of Hayward Drive has had such odd paranormal activity experienced by residents, it was featured on the Discovery Channelâs series âA Hauntingâ in the âStalked by Evilâ episode in 2007. The show focused on the McCarthy familyâs experiences while living in the house in 2005. The family was driven out of their home after an evil spirit terrorized their 17-year-old daughter.
It re-enacts the familyâs time at the house and how the family dealt with unexplained noises, smells and even the shadow figure of a man. Corpus Christi Spook Central investigated the house and recorded a voice saying, âIâm here for the girl.â
