How to Get Going When You Just Want to Stay In Bed and Be Nothing
Some days hit you like a ton of bricks, and for those who already struggle, those days can be even harder. Hopefully, these little tips can give you a boost in your darkest moments.
1. Open a window, let some light and fresh air in. You might not want it now, but it will help you feel better in the long run.
2. Take a shower. Sometimes, this can be more difficult than we expect, but thatās okay. Just letting the water hit your back, or washing your face can make you feel more refreshed.
3. Work on a hobby that gets you going.Ā Unfortunately, as good as it feels in the moment, lying in bed and watching netflix while the work you have piles up will only make you feel worse. Now, maybe you canāt tackle your assignments right now, but sitting up and drawing your favourite character or watering your plants while blasting some music will get you in a better mindset.
4. Change your music.Ā Sometimes we need to listen to a sad ass song and just get all our emotions out, but once thatās done and dusted, donāt dwell. Listen to some up-beat music (if I may, I recommend our Pick Me Up Playlist by You) and try to keep your environment from matching your mood.
5. Get a healthy snack and drink some water. Never underestimate the power of good nutrition. If you canāt handle the thought of a full meal, some fruit will suffice for now. But remember what you eat fuels your body, so if you can bring yourself to fitting in a remotely well-balanced meal, youāll be all the better off.
6. Make a list, pick one, simple task, and get it done.Ā Maybe you have laundry to do and itās piling up. Maybe you have to wash down the kitchen counter. Maybe you have a worksheet for school. Maybe itās just making the list. Whatever you need to get done, write it down, and rather than letting that overwhelm you, pick one thing from that list to tick off. Slowly but surely, you will be able to tackle the bigger things.
7. Go for a walk. Getting some fresh air and simple exercise will refresh you without tiring you out. Bring some water, or maybe make it a trip to get some of your favourite snacks and a smoothie from Jamba Juice. If youāre struggling to get up and out, having something nice to look forward too can motivate you.Ā
8. Think of why youāre feeling this way, and then let it go.Ā More often than not, there is a reason youāre struggling to get up and out. Understanding the root of this feeling can help you move past it, tackle it, or keep it from holding you back.
I know this is pretty standard advice, but I think we all need that little reminder every now and again.
3 years
So I received an email notification that I started this tumbler page 3 years ago... 3 years have gone by and I don't feel like I have gone anywhere... done anything... Made any progress whatsoever... 3 more years wasted...
Our disagreement is not merely political, but a fundamental divide on what it means to live in a society.
Personally, Iām happy to pay an extra 4.3% for my fast food burger if it means the person making it for me can afford to feed their own family. If you arenāt willing to fork over an extra 17 cents for a Big Mac, youāre a fundamentally different person than I am.
Iām perfectly content to pay taxes that go toward public schools, even though Iām childless and intend to stay that way, because all children deserve a quality, free education. If this seems unfair or unreasonable to you, we are never going to see eye to eye.
If I have to pay a little more with each paycheck to ensure my fellow Americans can access health care? SIGN ME UP. Poverty should not be a death sentence in the richest country in the world. If youāre okay with thousands of people dying of treatable diseases just so the wealthiest among us can hoard still more wealth, there is a divide between our worldviews that can never be breached.
Agreed
Does any one have any thoughts or advice about going on hormones but like not coming out publicly? Like I don't give a shit about being accepted in public I'm anti-social AF. Like I want to go on hormones and transition for me and just not worry about everybody else. My only fear is that my boobs would get too big to hide... Does that make any sense to anyone? Please reply I feel like I'm drowning... Especially here lately...
To any trans women and transfeminine followers of mine, did you know thereās a pretty huge Etsy store which does gaff underwear and swimsuits specifically designed for trans people amongst its products? They go in a pretty decent range of sizes, including sizes for young girls, and while I do not personally know anyone who has used them, thereās a fuckton of positive reviews on the Etsy store. They have a ton of colours to choose from, different fabric choices, the works.
And for once theyāre not marked āfor crossdressersā too, they actually under ātransgenderā, so thatās (depressingly) unusual.
Iām mostly posting this because Iāve seen a lot of younger people recently in particular saying they never knew what gaffs were⦠a lot of people find them WAY MORE comfortable and convenient than tucking, so I would recommend looking into them if youāve never done so before!
And even if you yourself donāt use or need this stuff, do pass this kind of info on to any friends of yours that might, guys! Thereās always like a million more PSAs about transmasc stuff as opposed to transfem stuf tbhā¦

Hi there.
I used to be fairly active on Tumblr, but stepped away for a breather. During the break I tried to make sense of a lot of ideas in my head and feelings in my heart, but itās still pretty messy in both places.
Iām not too sure what this Tumblr will become, but youāre welcome along for the ride.
Oh, and donāt be shy. Say hello!
Hello
My dear trans daughters,Ā
If you are trying out make-up, āfeminineā clothes etc. for the first time, i want to tell you some things:Ā
1. First of all⦠*big mommy bear hug*! Iām so proud of you! This is a big step and itās very exciting!Ā
2. You are likely excited, too - but you may also be nervous or even scared. Please know that those feelings are completely normal. Theyāre not a sign that youāreĀ āfaking itā. Trust me when i tell you that almost all of your trans sisters felt the same way. Youāre not alone, darling.Ā
3. Nobody is born a makeup artist. Every girl - cis or trans - needs to practice how to put on mascara or lipstick without ending up looking like a horror clown. The only difference is that cis girls usually get taught how to at a young age. Itās not your failure that nobody taught you! So, what if you tried it and it looked awful? Donāt stress. Youāll get the hang of it eventually. Itās normal that it takes practice and time.Ā
4. The good thing about not being the only one? There were others before you who were in the same situation - and shared what they learned! There are tutorials on youtube, tumblr posts, websites etc. Donāt be afraid to use them.Ā
5. Itās okay to take baby steps. You donāt need to try it all at once. Maybe putting on nail polish, mascara and a dress today feels overwhelming - but just putting on clear nail polish sounds much less scary! Thereās nothing wrong with slowly working your way up to the look you dream off.Ā
6. You donāt need to do anything. You tried lipstick and you donāt like it? Thatās okay! You donāt need to wear lipstick to be a real woman. You donāt enjoy wearing skirts? Many girls prefer pants, donāt worry!Ā
7. Have i already told you how amazing you are?Ā
With all my love,Ā
Your Tumblr MomĀ
Wow, I needed this today...
How is every girl on this site into chicks ?
Have you ever looked at a girl
If the aliens invade there will be memes about it within five minutes
Omg thoes memes are gonna be so dank I'm looking forward to it
Trans people arenāt learning how toĀ āact likeā our gender.
Weāre unlearning a lifetime of ways we learned to hide it.
THIS!!!!!
Anxiety?
So Iām not sure exactly what it is but itās getting harder and harder to leave the house in the morning I just donāt want to⦠I donāt know if something like agoraphobia is starting to take a little bit of a stronger hold on me or if Iām depressed or if Iām just an introvert and donāt want to leave the house.
Do any of my followers even care? I donāt understand why I feel so lonelyā¦Ā
