I really miss my psychocuties phase, but the fandom was ridiculously underwhelming. I was out there learning to read russian, digging through every art in Tamakuz VK to find anything useful to translate, putting in lots of efforts in understanding the lore. I still have my keyboard set to switch between english and russian just in case

Yes the story is problematic, but it’s not because Ushka is petite???? In the animation sure she’s gonna look cartoonish and tiny, but it’s not to resemble a child, it’s to resemble a domestic cat lmao. She’s a pet, that’s like her whole thing. She’s a young women who had her whole life ahead of her, and Massacrik stripped her of her identity and autonomy, THATS THE ISSUE. He’s a terrible person, but just shrugging it off as “he’s a pedo” is usually to minimize thinking, for some reason antis think torture is easier to excuse than pedophilia/child abuse in fiction lmao. People make him come off that way out of laziness and it pisses me off

And again, Ushka doesn’t even look that small during serious moments, it’s a quite inconsistent thing lmao. This is her in a cartoonish moment, less details, tiny. This I can see people pointing and going “child!!!”

This I cannot. Her proportions are appropriate for someone her age, size of the head, hips and whatever else you wanna point out in your “is this okay or is the artist a creep” chart (that doesn’t actually mean shit but if it helps you sleep at night we can do it). I looked pretty much like this at 18, I gained more weight since then, but Ushka is a zombie. I don’t even think she’d be able to if she wanted lmao

Again this isn’t to say Tamakuz isn’t a creep I also really don’t like that bitch. But I enjoy my problematic dynamics with more depth than this fandom can perceive

This is how it starts btw. (in relation to my "it used to be popular until" tag)

That^ is how it starts. It's a smarmy little thing people like to do to try to make you feel uncomfortable about liking a ship that on the whole is inoffensive. The characters are friends? Well, they've deemed them sibling-coded, sooo you're weird now. Been some of this on my fionnel posts recently. I block that kind of thing, been there done that/I know what you're doing. (I did this the first time around w/ finnfern, I'm good.)

But for fionnel people this ^^^ is what it looks like. Have fun w/ people pretending the ship wasn't popular or meant to be read that way, that your "even closer"/Wild Hunt's kiss moments ("you're beautiful/I thought we could be... friends"/Wolves Who Wandered's almost-kiss) are being interpreted wrong. Fern and Finn's queer parallel w/ The Green Knight and Gawain doesn't matter to them, and the queer overtones/lesbian color palette of all of Venus won't either. Narcissus symbolism? Where?

I'd get the occasional ask like "Fionna and Fennel not remembering they're like siblings doesn't make it less gross," but they were seldom/on anon and probably from the same person. That's different, once people attach their name/face to a sentiment it starts catching credibility/their friends and followers won't want to disagree.

I'm just warning you now: save your breath/time. The crew rbing fionnel art, blatant subtext/symbolism and the popularity of it when Wolves Who Wandered premiered won't matter once this catches on/becomes more widespread. Get used to saying "I don't see/HC them that way" and blocking. Just hope they get a more productive thing to be pissy over and wash your hands of it.
