you dig into the

crook of my

pulling apart the very

fabrication of what

i once was,

what i once will,

almost as if

we were never meant

to exist in the same

space.

prompt: i am waiting for love. but my heart is tired

Those little pieces of me,

Rust in darkness,

Sitting coolly under the constant

Drip of a leaking tap.

I’ve waited for you,

All this time and darling,

I don’t think I can wait

Any longer.

Everyday that passes I grow

Weary of waiting,

Until I can last no more.

I’ve just self-published my own chapbook titled ‘Hungry’. It was entirely written, illustrated and designed but msyelf and I’d love to share it with you!

‘Hungry’ is about the impact of trauma and how we learn to heal from it. It is consumed with hope, glimpsing it even in the darkest of places.

Ocean
