true true. alot of people think Islam is a very oppressive and strict religion when in reality it it very leniet and simply teaches a  way of life. When Trump banned Muslims, many Muslims considered shaving their beards and women thought about taking off their hijab. and when France banned niqabs, ignorant men were like “no women have to wear it” but ive read the Quran multiple times and it actually says that if your life is in danger then you have the permission to do those things. and the Quran even says that if you are starving and the only meat available is Pork, then you are allowed to eat it to save urself. It also says that if people from another religion force you to denouce your religion by threating to kill you then you are allowed to do so, if it means saving ur life. Islam isnt uptight and oprresive like yall think. Its a guide on how to live life the easiest way

I think too many people view entire religion rough lenses of few extremist they hear about in media.

Which, funny thing, they somehow forget about Christian crusades or Spanish Inquisition or sects like Mormons or Jehowa’s Witnesses that are literally 3 houses over from them.

Like… every religion has extremists. I could easily point you to Christians being much worse that any Muslim stereotype you could think up. My grandmother literally remember girls being forced into marriage because of accidental pregnancy or other going ‘for a vacation’ to get abortions.

I, myself, am not Islamic but I do believe this needs to be heard. Loud and clear. Where I work, I encounter all walks of life. Some good, some not, some religious, some not. I've been exposed to so many different people. The point I'm trying to make is because I encounter so many different kinds of people at my work, there have been some developing racists at my job. It's very toxic and very negative... Unfortunately... Due to lack of understanding and lack of wanting to learn. But where I work is outside a small town, rather isolated for the most part. It's unfortunate to hear all the negative things people say when you know different and they won't listen. I'm sorry to everyone that has experienced toxicity and negativity in that form, the most extreme. It's unfortunately from a lack of people wanting to learn and understand. People would rather be close-minded....
