Antique Ice Cream Parlour set. Table and 4 chairs.

This classic has had some updating with attached white leather cushions on each of the 4 chairs and white marble secured to the table.

A real beauty and comfortable as well.

Caille Boat Motor

Mystery Boat Motor has now been identified as a very early Caille, a American built boat motor. Not sure yet of the age, but it is in the mid teens.

A Musk Ox rug. This is a full rug, and includes the hooves and a full head. The fur on this animal is incredibly long and shaggy, and the head is huge…

One of our picture widows has developed extensions to some old cracks, and has gone from slightly unsightly, to ugly. We did some pricing, and decided to replace the two large windows on the one side with 3 double glazed windows, low E and argon filled. The old single pane windows are about 50 years old, and not energy efficient in any way. Already planning on recycling some of the glass for display cases, and the aluminum will go to the scrap yard. I will post some pictures as it happens.

The smaller window is "Mid-Century Modern"

A collection of light fixtures and shades, candle sticks and small tables.

The larger ones on the left are a table and a floor lamp in Teak that take the form of Bull Rushes. On the right are a pair of Teak lamps with original 1970's shades, sitting behind a pair of undated large candlesticks.

We just changed the window displays. The large window is "1930's Kitchen" with the Ball top Fridge, the Hoozier cabinet, along with the various items used in kitchens in the 30's. Almost everything in the window is from the 30's or earlier.

Bear is sitting on the front stoop waiting patiently to go home.

Finally open! www.blackcatantiques.net We have begun to stock the store with Vintage Boat Motor Manuals, and have a couple of hundred up so far, with a few thousand to go. After we list them, we will follow up with Vintage Snow Machines, Chain Saws, and Riding and Walk Behind Mowers. Thousands of them to sort and list! Eventually we will list all our online inventory of Antiques, Art, Musical Instruments, and Funky Stuff. Could take awhile... We have a lot of inventory.

Vintage Genuine Hires Root Beer Vacuformed Thermometer. These promotional items were distributed to the retailers, and hung or stuck to the wall. The method of manufacture was inexpensive and these pieced typically did not survive. This one was found at a supplier, and had not been distributed to the retailer, so is in NOS New Old Stock condition.

Porcupine Quill Birch Bark Native Basket.

Vintage Campbell's Soups restaurant counter top heater. 640 Watts of power takes a can of soup and a can of water and Blasts it with enough electricity to make your hydro meter spin. Produces hot tomato soup in seconds. I tested this unit out with water and it was boiling madly is no time. A local restaurant had one on their counter in use continuously until a few months ago. They were built to last.

Stogo pottery from Norway.

This pottery Viking by Stogo from Norway is a rare piece by a company the from all of my research, seems to only produce dishes... except for a couple of these guys.  I was able to locate one other, the owner of which told me she had been looking for another for 10 years.... and found mine.
