But seriously I get it. MJ does not Eddie not should she be forced to but jesus it feels like she’s gaslit the hell out of Dylan and the Symbiote into that same mindset. It’s especially worse for the symbiote because it physically cannot leave MJ or she dies and it hasn’t been ‘bad’ for a long ass time. Hell she calls it her friend and fully bonds with it in this same issue despite the fact that it’s just as responsible for her trauma as well.

There’s also. No fucking excuse for the Gwen Stacy line. Yeah, i get it ‘why are we bringing up Gwen Stacy in 2026’ but that’s part of the point. Having the reason of “If he sees me as the bad guy he’ll believe it was more me than you who let Torment go” is A. A fuckin cop out and B. NOT a valid excuse to say that shit.

Excuses and bullshiza because no. I’m sorry but NO.

Firstly telling someone they never have to apologize to you isn’t a healthy way to handle ANY kind of relationship especially when it’s factually untrue. I have seen you both apologize to one another because neither of you have ever been perfect which are traits you love about one another and boy howdy does MJ have stuff to apologize for.

Because you can’t call someone your ‘best friend’ actively treat them like shit when they want to talk it over and act like everything is good even BEFORE you have this needed conversation.

And some people might say “Oh see this was her thrashing” but it wasn’t actually shown! She was happy! Living her best life with Paul and the kids which only started to die down AFTER the kids were gone and only started breaking down once she was bonded with Venom.

The words don’t work if what we’re shown doesn’t back them up.

I’m not gonna get into the ‘Best Friend thing’ because Felica ‘Black Cat’ Hardy already voiced my opinion on that when it comes to Peter and MJ.

Trying to erase what came before doesn’t fix the problem it highlights it for everyone involved and not in a good way.
