If we are not supposed to judge, how is it you have the audacity to label a liar, a coward, or a racist? By what authority do you do so? By your own? The basic human right-- the MOST basic human right is the right to differentiate right from wrong and act on those beliefs. I pray to God you judge.

I am here.

I have always been here.

You still love me.

So find me where I am,

Not where you left me.

Awake

I found it.

Between the depression and anxiety that comes with waking up every morning, I see it.

Between the sheets of my eyes, I can feel the warmth and dizziness of a white ceiling.

A blank slate for me to paint the day on.

I found the meditative state in which I can obtain an ultimate state of existence. The one that allows me to feel so much nothingness and wonder.

I call it being “awake”.

When I am tired of the world and I feel bad for wanting to stop caring that I exist in it... I just go to that place again. To being awake.

For now, I can only see it with my eyes open.

I close them and that perfect world goes away.

I want to be awake for the rest of my life. Never knowing what I’m missing and happy living in the present.

Puppy Dogs

If I could get his slimy hands off my heart, I think I would.

I asked god for whatever I could get, and I got it good.

Nothing else came out of it.

He said he was prepared.

Sure. There was commitment. Then he says, “Babe, I was scared.”

There was a commitment between the dog and master,

 but dog’s at the pound alone.

Master went along his merry way with wife and child in tow.

Yes, we wait in cages. And maybe they do too.

They bait you in with smiling faces, mouths spilling with “I love you’s.”

Their little puppy eyes and their little puppy teeth,

Their little puppy breath that drips blood when they speak.

Yes I’m kept in the cages where dogs run into walls.

Waiting for a puppy who’ll grow into a dog.

It’s just like you to be happy.

You dumb, damn smiling dog.

I’ve asked that question too.

Nothing that a dog can be can be what I am to you.

You bear your teeth,

you bite at me, but I think you’ll find that I too,

Can bear my fangs, but I promise you that I’ll do what I said I would do.
