In the first five months of me finally discovering I am trans, I

-was hazed by my cis coworkers in a factory setting where they expected me to do the work of at least three people strength wise bc “you’re a man now”

-falsely accused by my ex spouse of stealing a car that was mine in all but title(we bought it together, I paid for the son of a bitch, but they wouldn’t let me put my name on the title bc that was a line with my ex)

-had to explain financial dependency to a white cop thirty years older than me that almost shot me for *checks notes* being correct about the law and becoming rightfully and vocally annoyed at him for calling me stupid to my face and watched him reach for his gun when I said “excuse me???”

-Oh and bonus almost lost my wife that day bc she saw him go for his gun and jumped in between us with her back turned to him.

-was turned away from aid from the local domestic abuse shelter bc I identify as a trans man and that made them uncomfy.

-was also shunned by ex coworkers who were very much like friends to me bc they didn’t want to pick sides(one of them said usually it’s the guy doing the abuse so idk who to believe….yes to my face. That same person I found out also had minor allegations in a different state against them so…grain of salt I guess….)

But sure. Trans men don’t experience oppression at all huh.

Schizoid Freaks Attracted To My Platform (for Some Reason)

I don't know what it is about my platform that attracts the worst, mist entitled, most racist mentally ill movement squatters with no jobs who expect happy and willing participation in internet drama they create. This is why I'm always skeptical of leftists trying to co-opt Feminism.

They absolutely DESTROY everything they touch and act like they're some kind of authority who has to be coddled, obeyed, and tended to 24/7. They want agency but they act like they're supposed to be treated with the responsibility of a bird with the brain the size of a walnut.

This disgusting freak came under my post of someone calling me eloquent and accused them of antisemitism. No references to what that means or receipts of what was said, just immediately expecting me to bow down and kiss her ass because she said it. I had to beg this dumb fucking shitstain to explain what she meant before she FINALLY showed me what she was talking about (since I have a job and am not chronically online). Then she started flailing around in my mentions like I owed her something.

I've dealt with manipulative people my whole life and that's immediately how this freak approached me. She immediately proved to me she has ulterior motives and is inherently untrustworthy.

Now she's whining about doxxing (I don't know if she's telling the truth or farming sympathy because a lot of these types find Feminists easy to manipulate) like it's my problem. I've never met this freak in my life and don't care to know her. Mind you, she contributes nothing to improving the global female condition. She doesn't organize, she isn't focused on any causes, she's just an attention vampire who wants obedience.

Peak leftist behavior.

A thing I don’t get about the online reaction to the Gaiman situation is all the talk about guilt. Specifically whether or not people should feel guilty because someone they looked up to turned out to be an abuser.

It is 100% perplexing to me because most of the people I see worrying about this situation never actually knew this man.

This isn’t like, you just found out your husband was a rapist. Or your Uncle Bob. Or your coworker. Or your drinking buddy. Neil Gaiman was a person, but he was also a product. The vast vast majority of his fans never met him. I mean, maybe you got as far as getting a signature from him at a signing or seeing words on a screen that he typed in response to a Tumblr ask. That is not knowing the person, that is interacting with a formed and presented product.

People at his level of notoriety are being presented to you through a filter. I mean that in the sense that they filter their personality to be more marketable to the public, but also in the sense that there are ALL THESE PEOPLE around them that DO know them and have the opportunity to catch this shit and speak out about it. They pass through all those people to get to you. There are so many people who knew him, who did interact with him daily, whose literal actual job was to present a marketable version of this person to you.

I’m disappointed that yet another interesting artist has turned out to be a creep. I’m sad for his victims. But I did not know him. I had no opportunity to stop him. He was already being run through the filter of family, friends, industry colleagues, and PR specialists…and apparently the filtering process DIDN’T WORK.

All THOSE people get to grapple with their feelings about that fact. It’s not our job to do it for them.
