has it ever come to you and realize that shanks would be having dead wife flashbacks whenever he thinks or talks about buggy around his crew and even mihawk? in fact, benn is the VERY FIRST VICTIM OF THIS THE MOMENT HE BECAME SHANKS FIRST CREW MATE!!

imagine you're a new pirate crew in the Red Haired Pirates, being surrounded with powerful and influential pirate crew. everyone around is so badass and you couldn't wait to meet and see the captain with your own two eyes. you have heard stories about him. until later that night, you witness your captain crying his heart out, expressing himself how much he misses his other half (which you dont know about at all and NO ONE TOLD THIS TO YOU), while drinking 45 bottles of alcohol and booze. you look around and see all of the crew being silent, their eyes with no light in them, and you could even hear someone whispering "i should have been a marine".

LMAOOO YES like, i’m so sure this was most of the crews reaction when they were invited on. No way a 17 year old Shanks was as (appears to be) emotionally stable as he is now like COME ONNN… poor guy has the weight of the world on his shoulders, missing his clown, along with potential other failed relationships and an alcohol addiction B PLS

Buggy wore his hair up in a ponytail one time, and people never recovered. Which is great because I get to see fanarts of Buggy and his long beautiful blue hair.

Shank's heart must've dropped to his ass when he saw the cross guild poster. He cried in his room full of buggy's wanted poster's as he sadly added it to the collection. Ugly sobbing as he grabbed the pin to put it in place on his wall. Like a stinky wet dog who got his feelings crushed

I think a reason those “you can’t ship those characters, they see each other as family!” arguments seem so poor is that, unless you’re shipping a confirmed canonical couple, you are inherently changing the nature of the characters’ relationship somehow. As in, changing platonic friends to lovers, or enemies to lovers, or even shipping two characters who have never even met before! Who cares if one of the guys in your ship called the other one his ‘brother’? The people from that ship over there have tried to kill each other. This other one features two guys who are both married to women in the source material. This other one has a dude who's DEAD. Like, none of this matters. Follow in the footsteps of shippers before you and learn not to care so much about canon.
