“You’re welcome and hey, it’s alright. In my opinion, birthday parties are great, spending time with family, friends, or both while celebrating being another year older even if you don’t feel it just yet,” Blaize reassured.

“Hey, I’m nineteen now. Cool. Well…I was nineteen a week ago, but sort of forgot all about it…” Misha sighed, not even sure who he was talking to.

“First things first, happy late birthday. Secondly, your birthday is something to celebrate, no matter how early or late,” Blaize advised.

“Well…I guess I wouldn’t be opposed. What cabins would you suggest instead?” She questioned, holding a small smirk after thinking about it for a moment. “I do want to have a little fun somehow today.”

“I’ve always wanted to prank the Ares, Hecate, and Nyx cabins if that’s a good enough start?” Blaize rattled off, reaching into one of his jacket pockets and removing a list. “Got a list of pranks I’ve been wanting to try too. Funny thing is, I’m a son of Cybele and not Hermes.”

“Now this is kinda mean, but do you wanna help me put fake spiders in the Athena cabin and around it?” She asked no individual in particular. “I think it would be pretty funny to see them scream over it.”

Blaize did have to admit that he intrigued the moment the prank idea hit his ears. However, knowing what he knew about spiders and their history with Athena, the son of Cybele had to slowly shake his head. “Sorry, it does sound like a pretty cool idea though, but maybe for a different cabin?” he inquired.

Hyacinth’s eyes snapped open to find himself looking at the night sky. He was laying on the ground, flat on his back, the plastic blue lightsaber he had been carrying was several feet from him. He wasn’t sure how much time had passed exactly, it couldn’t have been much, a few minutes maybe, since he went down. He wondered if all the kid’s tales about the veil between life and death being thinner during Halloween time was true. It would explain the influx in spirits getting through to him lately. Hyacinth sat up, touching his face, only to see that it was wet. From tears or sweat, he wasn’t sure. “You know,” He spoke, supposedly to whatever spirit had just unkindly knocked him out in an attempt to get a message through. “it doesn’t much help you showing me things if I don’t know wha- oh hi.” He cut himself off, upon someone coming over to him. “What do you want?”

“Sorry to bother you, just looking for a place to get away from the chaos for a New York minute,” Blaize greeted, tone friendly as he walked over. The son of Cybele had dressed up as Billy from School of Rock and done some trick or treating, yet felt as though a small break was in order for a bit. Placing his bag on the ground, followed by sitting himself down next to his fellow camper, the male soon rattled off, “Everything alright over here? If you want and need some more alone time though, I can come back later.”

Jasper nodded and bit his lip “Yeah, I’m trying to figure out where my cabin is, exactly…it’s sort of really confusing here. I mean it’s really big,” Jasper remarked and gave him a small smile “Um, my name is Jasper, by the way”

“Yeah, it is really big, but it gets easier. Nice to meet you Jasper, I’m Blaize. Alright, which cabin are you looking for?” the son of Cybele rattled off, tone friendly.

“Right, okay, yes” Jasper looked down at the camp map he was given upon arrival. Though it seemed quite detailed…he was still confused as all hell. He had just arrived “Man, where’s the cabin…?” He frowned.

Blaize had been heading back to the Cybele cabin after training, in the hopes of squeezing in a small nap followed by heading back to do extra training. However, someone nearby caught his attention and he inquired, “Need help with something?”

Alec stared down at the bow in his hands as gently picked at the string, a faint smile pulling at the corner of his lips at the others question. “I-uh, yeah im alright..just some training frustration is all.”

“Well, as my sister Melanie never fails to remind me, sometimes it takes awhile to get things right. Sometimes you have to keep at it and others, you need to take a step back for a bit. It all depends on the situation,” Blaize recited with a caring smile.

Alec wasn’t sure if he had done anything wrong to just be left so suddenly, especially when everything seemed to be going so well. Needless to say the son or Iris was a mess without having the love of his life there, or at least just on the inside. The boy still tried to keep happy and positive to hold himself together, which wasn’t exactly working for him at the moment while he hung around the archery range without his usual happy glow surrounding him in his dampened mood. He’d been there a couple of hours training to take his mind off of things by himself. After firing off another arrow that hit the very outer ring of the target with a sigh of frustration escaping him before lowering his arms to his sides, too exhausted and achy to continue any more.

Blaize had been gone for what felt like forever, had flown back home to visit family. Now, he was back in action at Camp Half Blood, ready to get back into the regular swing of things. Heading for the archery range, the 16 year old borrowed a bow as well as some arrows and was just about to get started when a sigh of frustration caught his attention. Glancing over, Blaize gave a small, sympathetic smile prior to inquiring, “Hey, you alright?”

Elias smiled “I think that it’s really cool that you take the advice from others and apply it to your life, and then even help people with it. It’s just really respectable! You don’t meet a lot of guys like that!” Elias nodded and beamed “Wanna see the Hemera Cabin right now?!”

“Thanks and thanks again. Very true, which is something that I want to talk to people about. It’s alright to take advice, people, we’re half human which means we’re prone to mistakes and that’s fine,” Blaize answered prior to giving a small affirmative nod. “Cool if I show you the Cybele cabin afterwards?”

“Same goes for you! The Hemera cabin is always open for you!” Elias chimed out and gave a nod “You seem pretty cool, and I think that we should definitely be friends, don’t you?” He smiled and nodded again “I think you’re really wise,”

“Thank you very much for both the Hemera cabin being open as well the compliment and the same compliment goes to you,” Blaize replied before giving a short chuckle. “Thanks again and being friends does sound pretty cool. Honestly, I’ve just picked up a whole lot of advice and stuff from loved ones.”

“I’m really good too! Now that I heard a really funny joke!” Elias laughed and teleported around again, cheering “Mostly I’ve been bad lately, because I’ve been sad about stuff…but you brightened up my day!”

“Glad that I could help out. Also, if you ever need to talk about something, then feel free to swing by the Cybele cabin at any time and I’ll be happy to listen,” Blaize replied. “Sometimes, we just need to get stuff our chest then ask for advice later on instead of receiving it immediately once you’re done ranting.”

“It was a really good one, thanks for telling it to me,” Elias said with a warm smile, now glowing pretty brightly–literally. “How are you today?!”

“Anytime, just trying to tell good jokes and bring the mood up from time to time. As for this nerd, I’m alright, thanks for asking. How about you?” Blaize rattled off, tone a hint curious.

Elias laughed loudly when Blaize made the joke, nearly doubling over. He teleported around a few times, so excited.

Blaize couldn’t help the small smile that appeared on his face, relaxing just a hint instead of his normal state of slight tensity. “Glad you liked the joke,” the son of Cybele remarked.

“What’s up?” Elias said with a smile and peeked over their shoulder “Whatcha doin?”

“The sky, planes, Pegasi, demigods with the ability to fly,” Blaize joked before closing his drawing notebook. “It’s nothing, just random doodling.”

“…. Not with me. I’m kind of known for stealing.” Kyle grinned. “You want to help me? Dude, do you even know how far my pranks normally go?”

“In that case, might be a hint more understandable. However, yes, I do want to help. Been kind of waiting for the perfect opportunity to pull a prank with someone,” Blaize confirmed with a nod.

“Nope…. I believe I just got payback for stealing another camper’s stuff. That was months ago!” Kyle shouted at a camper who was walking off.
