Good afternoon,

My interviewee is Adeyemi Adeduro. Mr. Adeduro is an African(American),18 year old male, from Logos, Nigeria.

Experience

Mr. Adeduro incorporation into a new country is a good experience. Mr.Adeduro states america is an safer environment due to the American laws and law enforcement. Its a dramatic change when it comes to safety. Also America has more available resources such as water, food, heat, clothing and shelter. Being in america it has been easier to obtain natural resources than back in africa. Last, education has been greater because its more interactive, the teachers dont punish you , better technology, and books.

Gender roles

Mr.Adeduro states “Men run everything”. Men are required to be care and provide for the wife and children.

Second Generation

Mr.Adeduro states the parents of the second generation have very high expectations. The parents are very strict. But overall academic success is expected and behavioral actions.

Biography of a chocolate bar.

My favorite chocolate bar is Hersheys Mr.Goodbar. The ingredients for a Mr.Goodbar is milk chocolate [sugar; cocoa butter;chocolate;nonfat milk; Lecthin(soy);salt;PGPR,Emulsifer;Vanillin, articial flavor] peanuts. The process of making hersheys chocolate spans throughout several countries. It starts out with a cocoa bean found within theodroma cacao known as a cocoa pod. 400 cocoa beans produce one pound of chocolate. After the beans are extracted, they are laid out in the sun for days. They are packed and sent out for shipment.

The Mr.Goodbar is produced by The hershey company. You can purchase a Mr.Goodbar in almost anywhere. grocery stores(gaint,shoppers..) , Drugstores(CVS),Gas stations(exon).

Hershey wants to provide a safe and comfortable comfortable environment for the workers but hershey has struggled. Hershey workers once went on strike because they were mislead and underpaid. Hershey was fined because of health and safety violations. There is child labor for the hersey company. Children who work on the cocoa plantation are usually between 12-15years old but some are as young as 5 years old. These children are placed in hazardous conditions include applying pesticides, working with sharp objects, working without proper safety equipment, and environment filled with dangerous animals.

The price set is based on the cost of the cocoa.

Starting on the left its my mom and father. Then it leads to my aunt on my mother side to my four cousins. One of my cousins are deceased and one had a baby. The other side is my mother parents which led to my aunts and uncles to my cousins. What’s missing is my father side of the family because both of his parents are deceased. Ive never met anyone of his side.

The gender I have chosen is the females species. Being a female comes a long with gender stereotypes and gender ideology. Explain in the video female has been stereotyped to be cleaners, emotional, and weaker than men. I believe woman and men are equally the same through any aspects. Women run the world.

Ethnicity Exhibit

What is ethnicity? Ethnicity is a human development of one identity. Ethnicity also connects with a group of people that share common history, culture, and ancestry. The ethnicity exhibit was very interesting. The exhibit was a melting pot with biographies of different individuals for instance there was people from Berlin, Great Britain, Cameroon, Germany, and many more countries diaspora. Each story described an individual ethnic boundary marker. Otto Addo was a black man who grew up in Germany. Addo was a fan of sport and always wanted to include himself in sports. Addo experienced racism in Germany. There has been an assimilation in Germany among the african american community.

White supremacy: this is an example because the terrorist group KKK believed whites were supremacy and minorities are inferior.

Racism: this is an example because he’s discriminating against other countries.

Microaggression: this is an example because someone being questioned about where their born, althought their from the United States.

Institutional racism: this is an example because it shows a easier path for the white than the black.

Racial classification

           Racial classification is the physical and genetical difference in one group an another. In current time to identify one racial classification is by their skin color. It is easy to call some with dark skin African American and one with light skin Caucasian. In the documentary “The Human Family tree” based on scientific information, the human species originated in Africa. Our DNA structure was created by “scientific Adam” (Male) and “scientific Eve” (Female). Scientist held a genetic test in New York testing on individuals from different areas and people with different ethnicity, helping them identify their genetic origin.

            In modern society there is a social construct. A social construct is a theory on how we should perceive reality. In the united states individuals are identified by race. Most individual’s judges one racial classification based on their appearance. Skin color, hair texture, and many more body features help determine one’s race in people perspective. The film “The human family tree” challenges the social construct because it gives scientific information stating everyone ancestors were originated in Africa. But everyone was taught to think differently when looking at someone that is a different race.

           In my opinion, the film challenges the social construct because it provides scientific information stating our ancestors originated from Africa and we all share the same genetic codes. I believe the African stereotype should be viewed differently because our ancestors are originally from Africa, stating we all have African genetics. Racism has been present for hundreds of years. Individuals dodge the fact that our ancestors originated in Africa because of our social construct but, we are all connected internally. The film “the human family tree” challenges our social construct in race ethnicity.

For This study my friend Sajdah and I did multiple common hand gestures. Gestures are the movement in body parts, especially your hand and head. Gestures are used daily by individuals. Hand gestures help convey a message in a more related way between individuals. For example the first gesture “The hand wave” it’s a simple greet of “hello” or “goodbye” between two individuals. Gestures are also used to convey emotional messages. For an example “ The middle finger” is used when one is angry at another person for wrong doings. Most individuals do not realize the movement in their hands when their are communicating because it’s natural. Gestures are apart of how we communicate in the world.

I chose to do my dorm hall lounge (O’Connell). I chose to do the lounging area because I rarely sit in the area like others. But the lounging area is a place where the guys and some outsiders come to relax, watch tv, play games , and much more. I realized that the area is set up like a theater and every chair had a little table on it. I also realized the vending machine never works. I expected to find others in the area because usually when I am not in the area it’s a lot of others there and not only resident but individuals from other dorm halls. It was a very quite place during the time, very clean, smelled normal. On weekdays there’s a lot of people in the lounge area but on weekends it’s barley people because everyone decide to go home for the weekend.

What are they?

These Gucci ace sneakers. Gucci is an Italian luxury brand, found in 1921, Florence,Italy. found by Guccio Gucci.

What are they made out of ?

Gucci Ace sneakers, are made out of mixed fabrics such as original GG canvas, Guccissima leather, Diamante, and Flora.

Who and Where are they made ?

Gucci shoe products are produced in Italy. The Gucci factory is located in Florence, Italy and owned by a Chinese businessman. Gucci has factory workers creating the Gucci product and they are paid low wages for such an expensive product.

what impact does this product have on my life ?

I have always been interested in fashion since a kid. The impact this product have on my life is fashion base. Wearing exclusive designer make me look good and feel good

What is the environmental impact ?

Gucci has an negative impact on the environment but gucci operate efficiently for the planet safety. Gucci has implemented a eco-friendly program to reduce the impact on the planet.
